- ICP Water Analysis - CoralVue
Complete Water Analysis with Inductive Couple Plasma Testing
Knowing what is in your water is just as important as feeding your fish and coral, sometimes even more important. CoralVue's ICP Analysis Test is easy to use and only takes a few days to see the results. Each box comes with a single vial that lets you collect a water sample from your tank and then mail it directly to them for ICP testing. Corals require elements be at certain concentrations in your water and measuring the levels of 40+ elements would cost hundreds of dollars if you purchased individual test kits, and still would not be as accurate as an ICP test. Many reefers have reported after using ICP testing and getting their elemental levels balanced, corals grow faster and have much better coloration!

- Easy To See What Is Missing

How does ICP Testing Work?
ICP testing works by injecting the sample into a plasma chamber that is about 10,000 degrees Celcius, causing the sample to break apart into its basic elements. The elements are then released at specific wavelengths and using a sophisticated machinery, the concentration can be measured.
not sure if I can trust the results By spiraling on 5/3/2019spiraling wouldn't recommend this product to a friendI have used triton and ATI before. When I used this one the parameters were about what I was expecting, except it said I had 0 iodine. Previous results showed I was a bit low, so I have been dosing and testing with red sea. I have a hard time believing my value was 0, so I also am not sure how far off, for good or bad, the other parameters are.
Fast turn around By John on 4/29/2019John would recommend this product to a friendShipping was $3.00 from NC. I found the results helpful in judging how accurate I was with my test kits. Also helped identify some elements I was low in. I will test again in a few months.
Some ups and some downs By Joe on 4/23/2019Joe wouldn't recommend this product to a friendIt may depend on what your needs are, but this is my opinion about this test kit.
Pros: Fast turn around time. I mailed the kit on Friday and had an email with results on the following Tuesday. Easy to use. Good price.
Cons: Little to no information about what your results mean. A few results indicate they are high, but there is almost no other information about what the results of a particular ellement means to your reef tank or how to resolve it. I also felt like some of the information wasn't particulary useful and some other more useful tests were absent in this test kit. I would prefer a kit that tests both my take water and my RODI water and includes all of the basic tests that we normaly test w/ test kits plus the extra ellemenst that may be important to a reef tank. Have to pay for shipping sepretly which cost me $10 so figure that into cost when evaluating cost of kits.
