Works well By Manfred on 1/9/2015Manfred would recommend this product to a friendI use this monitor on my Skimz CM 152 calcium reactor. I have an Apex controller but I have my reactor set up on the opposite end of my 72" 180 gallon tank and I didn't want wires running that far plus I would have had to purchase additional apex equipment to monitor the ph in the reactor making the purchasing of this monitor my best financial optional as well. I found the monitor easy to calibrate and and it works well in monitoring the ph in my reactor. I did find in calibrating the instrument that using the Milwaukee calibration fluid worked better than the bulk fluid I had on hand. So I will purchase more Milwaukee calibration fluid for future calibrations. It is reassuring to see the 6.6 ph level displayed on the controller which means my reactor is operating at the optimum level.

I was looking at the specs. for the Milwaukee MC 120 ph monitor that you recommended . In the specs. it mentions saltwater. Is this just as good in freshwater? being a Discus tank that's all it will be used in.
What variety of probes can I use with this meter? I want to install the probe permanently in a 1.5-inch diameter pipe.
We are a little confused by "variety" of probe. This will work with all pH probes we currently sell. to install in a piece of pipe you may be able to use the inline probe holder.
