- Red Sea Iodine Pro (I2) test kit
Our favorite all-around test kits are the red sea kits. With easy to follow directions, and consistent results, we always have a Red Sea Iodine Pro test kit in our testing closet. With most other Iodine tests comparing the results can be difficult especially if you have bad eyes, however, Red Sea is probably one of the easiest to differentiate the color.
Iodine Pro Kit includes 50 tests. Easy to use colorimetric comparator. High quality and reliability. Affordable reagent refills.

Useless test kit By Jesse on 6/5/2019Jesse wouldn't recommend this product to a friendIve tested this against an ICP test twice now, and both times this kit says .06 and ICP says 0. Total waste of money.
It's worth the money By Tim on 4/20/2013Tim would recommend this product to a friendI have never owned an Iodine test kit previously so I have nothing to compare it to. It has two vials, one to create a standard solution, and another to make a test sample from the tank. The colors on the chart are fairly close to each other but are distinguishable. It comes in a nice case and it seems to work for my needs. Don't dose Iodine without a test kit!
Does the job By Tim on 4/20/2013Tim would recommend this product to a friendI have never had any other Iodine test kits but this does what I needed. It comes with two vials one to make a standard to compare the sample to. The colors are close together but distinguishable. Nice case and well worth the money if you need to keep track of Iodine.
A Test Kit I Don't Hate By RL on 2/11/2012RL would recommend this product to a friendLet's face it. Test kits are cheap crap. This test kit comes in a nice plastic case with holding spots for EVERYTHING I need to do the test. The vials are usable. The results are easy to read as a color based kit can be.
This is what I would manufacture if I were in charge of a test kit brand.
Two thumbs up!
Does the Red Sea Iodine year kit detect elemental Iodine (I2), Iodide, and Iodate? Or is it limited to only on or two of the above?
The Red Sea kits measure the level of total Iodine as Iodide and Iodate. Have a great day!
