Product didn't work By chris on 12/27/2017chris wouldn't recommend this product to a friendI picked up this ballast last year during a black Friday sale. My tank has finally arrived and so I hooked up this ballast to the Giesemann 24" Spectra. The item did not come with proper instructions (a one sheeter written in poor english was not at all helpful). The knob to adjust the ballast to various output levels also fell off as soon as I tried to adjust the ballast. Everything appears poorly made and the quality is low. Then upon getting the ballast connected to the Spectra, it would not ignite the light. I get a quick glow but that's it, after testing multiple bulbs and reaching someone at Coralvue for help (BRS did not respond until several days later) it was determined the item is defective. I'm now on the hook to cover shipping to get a replacement from Coralvue since BRS will not cover the return of the defective item. Really disappointing and definitely not a product I would recommend. Also disappointing that BRS doesn't seem to value the thousands of dollars I have spent with them over the years to make this a painless return.
