Luckily, there's no need to ditch your Gen 5 Radion if you're itching to take advantage of the many improvements made to EcoTech Marine's new Radion G6. The Radion G6 models have been built on the same heat sink and driver platform as the equivalent XR15 or XR30 Radion G5 models. Excitingly, this allows for a same model (XR15 and XR30) upgrade path from G5 to G6!

Included in the upgrade kit is the G6 cluster and HEI lens, which together combine to create the Hybrid Hemispherically Edge Illuminating (HEI2) lens system.

The best part? You can even upgrade a Blue into a Pro or vice versa!

Can the new G6 LED board be used effectively with the G5 HEI optics to maintain the higher PAR of the G5 with the newer set of LEDs?
Question by: Mark VanOsdel on May 18, 2022, 1:37 PM
Hey Mark, thanks for the question. If I am understand it right, you would be able to conver the existing G5 over to the new G6 LEDS. For a more specific answer I would suggest reaching out to Ecotech Directly
