The Kessil Mounting Arm is a rigid arm that allows your Kessil light to be suspended over your tank by clamping onto the aquariums rim. The mounting arm has an adjustment for height, as well as distance making it a perfect mounting solution for any Kessil light. With its integrated cord channel, there is no more need for plastic zip ties to manage the cables because they will route cleanly inside of the Mounting arm itself.

Front to back adjustment works for 18" to 24" wide tanks

Dimensions: 1" x W 12.32" - 15.43" x H 20.78"

Mounting compatible with:

Note: AP700 Requires 2 Mounting Arms

I have a 125 gallon corner pentagon tank. Do these mounts rotate at the base so as to where I could use one on either side of the corner and rotate them to come towards the front of the tank rather than at an angle across it? Thanks
Question by: Jacob on Jan 22, 2020, 10:15 PM
Hey there!

Yes they can, they have a thumb screw that will allow you to tighten it down in the position you want or rotate it.

Take care

I have a 55 gallon tank measuring 48 wide and 12 3/4 front to back with a 1 inch plastic trim. I am looking to add two a160s. Will these mounts work or would you recommend the goosenecks?
Question by: Brandon Large on Nov 21, 2017, 10:37 AM
If your light came with a mounting adapter bracket, then you could use either the A-Series Mounting Arm or the Goosenecks on your aquarium. The Kessil mounts work well with trim because they include a spacer that you can place below the trim to keep it from pinching the trim. A majority of the decision comes down to the preference of the look over the function.

Will this bracket work with a euro braced tank where the bracing sits 1/2 inch inside the top of the tank?
Question by: Justin on Nov 15, 2017, 11:59 PM
With the design of the bracket, they are not compatible with euro braced aquariums. Thanks for asking and have a great day!

Have you guys identified or found any materials that specify the load limit or weight limit for what one of these arms could support?
Question by: JBKReef on Oct 29, 2017, 10:50 PM
Hey there,

Unfortunately the manufacturer does not list load or weight limits of these arms, as they are intended to be used with their specific lighting fixtures. You could reach out to them directly and see if they may have those specifications available. :-)

Would it be possible to forgo the tank clamp and mount this on the wall behind the aquarium instead?
Question by: Margaret Jenkins on Oct 28, 2017, 12:59 PM
Hey there,

While intended for that purpose, half the fun of this hobby is putting our ingenuity to work to create a solution! Adapting this for a wall-mount would definitely be a do-it-yourself type of project, so I'm afraid we couldn't really advise on that application, but where there's a will, there may be a way!

Happy Reefing!
Answer by: Zack on Nov 17, 2017, 3:14 PM
Hi Margaret, thanks for reaching out!

You could easily remove the tank clamp and affix the mounting arm to the wall using the bracket with screws. Be sure to screw into a stud, use drywall anchors, or otherwise reinforce the wall for a solid ans safe install.

I have a standard 29 gallon tank - 12 inches wide. Is there a way to center an A160 using this arm?
Question by: DSinSoCal on Apr 29, 2017, 2:51 AM
Hey there,
Unfortunately the A series mounting arm will have a little too much reach for your tank. They can only be adjusted to center the lights over a tank of 18" to 24" in depth.

Regards,

I purchased a nuvo 10gal tank from you. Will a kessil A arm new mount put a kessil A160we tuna over the center of the tank(less the back compartment)? Specs for the mount state 18 to 24 in. width -the nuvo is 15in, but the picture of the adjustable mount looks like it would. Because of the tank back compartment, the center of the main tank is not 7.5in but 10in from the back of the tank.
Question by: todd on Mar 29, 2016, 3:49 PM
Great question!
The A series can work great even over the smaller 10 gallon, The light will mount about 8" from the back wall outside of the tank. Feel free to let us know if you have any further questions!

Hello, I love the look of kessil, I will be lighting a 525xl which is 59 long, I like the look better without the wires showing, is this width adjustibe so it can be centered in the tank? Also how would I mount the middle light where is overflow is ? Thanks again!
Question by: TODD EOSSO on Mar 22, 2016, 8:32 PM
Great question!
A fantastic option would be two of the kessil A arms, and two of the Kessil A360's which can mount to the arms and hide the cords. This will mount on either side of the overflow and spread the light evenly across the tank. Feel free to let us know if you have any further questions!
