- Razor X R5 300W LED Fixture - Maxspect
Maxspect Razor X LED Light fixtures are made with the latest in LED technology, including Cree XT-E and XP-E LED chips that are distributed through 4 different controllable channels. Programming can be done through the onboard OLED control interface, or wirelessly with the addition of the optional Syna-G ICV6 Controller. Razor X Fixtures are made with architectural grade 6063 aluminum alloy keeping them lightweight, but also very strong while increasing heat transfer keeping the LEDs cool.
The LEDs selected for the Razor X were designed to help produce enhanced growth and coloration. Providing a full range of color keeps your corals growing fast, but also gives you the control to create the most aesthetically pleasing color combination for your reef. The Razor's spectrum ranges from all the way down to UV and super actinic 410nm LEDs up to deep red at 665nm and covers almost every color in the middle.

Effective Coverage - 64" x 22"
Plug and Play operation means you do not have to purchase any additional controllers or software to operate and program the Razor X LED Fixtures. Each Razor X features an OLED monitor and control dial where you can easily program, and customize other settings and features of the LED fixture.
Wireless Control (optional)
On top of the onboard programming, every Razor X can be connected wirelessly to the Maxspect Syna-G ICV6 Connect Controller (sold separately) which will let you program and control each light from any Android or iOS device with the Syna-G app.
If you need multiple Razor X fixtures to cover your tank, you can connect 2 or more through the master/slave mode to control all of them through a single source. Just program the master and all the slaves will follow the master's program, saving you time, and eliminating possible programming mistakes.
Intelligent Temperature Control
The built-in temperature control system for the Razor X line of LED lights starts with the overall design of the light. As cool air is drawn up from underneath the fixture then flows through the body helping dissipate heat from the LEDs passively. The large body/heatsink is assisted by fans that help regulate the temperature even further. The fans will automatically engage when the temperature sensor reads over 131°F and will shut off when the temperature falls below 113°F keeping the operating range for the LEDs in a safe zone for a long reliable life.

Tuning Your New LED Light
Most LED lights will actually put out more light than your corals will actually need and without a PAR Meter to test the overall output, it is really hard to guess if the light is too dim or intense. We highly suggest using a PAR Meter to test the output of your lights at different points throughout your tank that you can use to tune the lights output or know where to put specific corals.
Perfect light for 120 gallon 4ft tank! By Aaron on 5/27/2020Aaron would recommend this product to a friendThe light has been great on my new SPS tank 120 gallon 4ft. I went with this light because of the built in lighting schedule and I felt it would fit the best in my canopy. The slim lines look great and I have recently moved the light up higher in my canopy by BRS recommendations. I had good spread before but definitely feel my spectrum is better since changing to recommendations. And the slim lines mean I still have 3+ inches of clearance for airflow above the light even at 11 inches off the water! I am slowly working up the par and right now am sitting at mostly 180 throughout my rock level 6-9 inches from the bottom of the tank. Having plenty of room under the light to work is great when you need to do maintenance on pumps or place new coral. I have a new bird-nest that has doubled in size in the two weeks I have had it with double the branches. Though I can probably get 60-70% more Par by ramping up the settings my acro's look good and I have been tanking this whole tank build slow (started 7-8 months ago now and only had coral for maybe 2 months). The light makes the corals really pop especially with BRS settings! My LFS uses this light on almost all their tanks and it looks even better than the Kessil ones in my oppinion and I am a huge Kessil fan! That was my plan before I saw these lights and I am glad I went with these instead of Kessil or Radion. Each light has it's own place but for a 4ft 120g tank I believe that it doesn't get any better than this. I have a very blanketed spread and no shading so far but I may one day add some T5 as it comes so heavily recommended Thanks to how thin and compact the light is I have plenty of room to add 2x dual 36 or 48inch fixtures one on either side slightly below the LED height. Anyway so far the light is more than I need for my sps tank and with 9 sps corals that are all doing good I am happy!
Great light. Very impressed with Maxspect By Nick on 8/31/2019Nick would recommend this product to a friendWas on the fence about some Radions or a single Razor. I did endless research. I am so glad I went with the Razor. It looks great suspended from the ceiling. 4' light for a 4' tank. The intensity is perfect for all my coral. SPS and LPS have really grown and showing great coloration. Very impressed with the light quality, especially at a lower price point.
RAZOR XR5 300W AMAZING By rafael on 12/4/2018rafael would recommend this product to a friendI got my fixture last week.
After a week , I'm still amazed about the colors of my corals. LPS AND SPS. I can seat down for hrs and watching. The only bad thing is , I got the hanging kit. And the screws won't fit. Wrong size. You have to drill the existing hole a little bigger. Other than that is good.
Amazing light By Johnathan on 3/15/2018Johnathan would recommend this product to a friendThis light is absolutely amazing! Its very light weight and easier to program than I thought it would be. Definitely worth the money.
