Quality By Jonathon on 4/29/2020Jonathon would recommend this product to a friendStarted my 135 gallon 6 years ago, upgraded to a 200 gallon and this thing still does the job. Fairly quiet and 100% reliable.
Arrived Broken and Vibrates a Lot... By Lance on 2/25/2020Lance would recommend this product to a friendThe back panel was broken when the pump arrived, but I don't think this is on BRS. There was insufficient packaging in the Eheim box and the pump is heavy as a brick. Since the panel doesn't seem to have anything to do with the functioning of the pump, I just rolled with it.
This is a pump that does indeed pump. Can't make any judgement on longevity, but it does seem very sturdy (minus the broken panel). I will say however that this thing vibrates *a lot*. I first tried placing it on a silicone trivet as suggested by another reviewer. This helped somewhat, but it was still pretty loud. What seems to have worked a bit better was putting three dollops of silicone on the underside of the included mounting plate. Much less vibration transferred to the sump and cabinet with these relatively much more squishy pump feet.
7 years and counting By Danny on 1/24/2020Danny would recommend this product to a friendStill running actually. Minimal upkeep and a workhorse for the $$. Would recommend due to durability.
crazy By Josh on 1/9/2019Josh would recommend this product to a friendI got this used in a tank buy out. Had a new pump to use but didn't want to get it wet intel I need it. So I just used this one.
I didn't clean it for 2 years and was/ is still working perfect. I Finally pulled it to clean it and find out what kind of pump it was and was shocked to see the price but I have to say. After my experience with it. Money WELL spent if you by this new.
Reliable By Christopher on 4/17/2018Christopher would recommend this product to a friendBeen using this pump as a return for over 10 years. It has been cleaned once. Super reliable.
Great Pump! By Mitch on 3/6/2017Mitch would recommend this product to a friendVery good pump. I have had an Eheim on my tank for 5 years and it runs great. Very quiet and very reliable. A good bargain IMO.
Extremely quiet By Mike on 6/29/2016Mike would recommend this product to a friendI wish I would have purchased one of these years ago. I can't believe the difference from my old pump. This one is super quiet and easily hooked up to the existing plumbing.
Good product By Carl on 6/12/2015Carl would recommend this product to a friendI have great water flow. But is a bit noisier than I expected.
quiet powerful reliable By sdeck on 12/28/2014sdeck would recommend this product to a friendbought this pump to replace my ehiem pump that was rated at 60 watts. unable to say how many gallons per hour it was rated for, as it is not made anymore and has been in non stop service since 1997!!!
plumbed new pump with 1 1/4 hard pvc per Reef Aquarium III advice, had been running 3/4" hard pvc.....WHAT a difference!! Had to throttle new pump down to 65 watts so it would not overwhelm my dual 1" overflows. I love this new pump but it is way too much water volume for a 125 gallon tank. I am running 3 korelia power heads in the tank for circulation and am not trying to use return pump to create circulation just water exchange. I put oxo pad under pump and used 1" silicon tubing to hard pvc to prevent noise, and it is silent! Note that out of the pump you need to use the fittings they provide for soft tubing, as the threads will thread to pvc but the fitting needs to be a o-ring seal as they are not tapered
if I was to purchase again I would purchase next sixe down, even increased overflow plumbing to 1 1/2" still more flow than needed for this size tank
Nice By Ryan on 11/14/2012Ryan would recommend this product to a friendI could tell this pump was quality as soon as i opened the box. It runs very quiet and was definitely worth the money.
Great Pump By Chris on 10/13/2012Chris would recommend this product to a friendEheim pump is quiet and moves a lot of water. It was easy to install to my plumbing and has been working great. I wish it would have come with some type of feet to help with vibration. Placed some padding underneath it to ensure it's as quiet as possible.
Silent return pump By Andrew on 10/10/2012Andrew would recommend this product to a friendruns silent and stays that way (18 months running silent)
Is the flow rate adjustable? Would this pump be good on a 75 gallon (display) with a small manifold.
Do you sell replacement intake and outlet connectors? I purchased the 1262 second hand and it's missing the screw on outlet and figure I may as well replace the inlet. Thanks
Will this work with a 220V input?
