Quick Overview

Why does BRS recommend this?

The Syncra Silent line of pumps come in many different sizes and will fit most tank needs.  Sicce uses high quality magnets in their pumps, which allows them to spin smoother with less noise than almost all other pumps in their price category.  If your tank needs a high flow return pump, or a smaller pump for a low flow reactor our first choice will always be Sicce.

Quiet, energy-efficient pump for a variety of uses in wet or dry application. Use in salt or freshwater.

  • great little pump By Dustin on 9/22/2017

I put this pump on my dual reactor and have been very pleased with it so far. The only thing I did not like was there is some sort of plastic molded insert inside the female outlet that blocked me from adding a 1/2 pvc male to hard plumb it. I did manage to break it off and remove it but it was an unexpected project that did take time so I didn't damage the threads. Overall, I am very pleased with the pump and would recommend this to anyone.
  • Perfect nano return By Mwood50 on 1/6/2017

Bought this because my biocube 14 stock return was too noisy for my liking. Stock tubing doesn't fit as snug to this pump as I'd like and is a tad too long but by having to angle the tubing to fit it puts enough pressure on the ends to keep it in place. I can now enjoy my tank with out the constant humming of the return pump. Once in a great while it will hum or rattle and that's because the wiring has gotten too close to the pump, I simply tug on it slightly and back to quiet it goes. I will only buy Sicce from now on
  • Works great By Robert on 12/24/2016

I use this to move RODI water from one can to another and it is nice and quiet and works well. I should have got a bigger pump for this task but nothing against this pump.
  • Excellent Pump By James_H on 3/19/2016

I purchased this sicce pump based on other reviews and watching youtube videos including sicce pumps. In the past, I had gravitated to RIO for small aquarium pumps. I am very pleased with my decision to go with sicce. the pump is dead silent, small and powerful . The only thing I worried about after installing the pump was how to deal with the increased flow (was considerably more powerful than the stock pump that came with my 10 gallon nano). Fortunately, the pump also has a flow restrictor so that it can be dialed back if needed. If I need another pump, I will definitely be getting a sicce from BRS.
  • Sicce Syncra Silent 0.5 pump (185GPH) By Chuck on 12/28/2015

The pump works great with my Calcium Reactor, for the feed pump. I used the 1/2" male npt x 1/4" barb adapter and hooked everything up great.
  • Great Pump. By Robert on 9/24/2015

Great little pump dead silent. I am using it to feed a UV Sterilizer and the adjustable output is perfect for slow flow.
  • Excellent pump By jembolt on 11/4/2014

Sicce pumps are wonderfully quiet and efficient. This Silent 0.5 pump lives up to it's name and works well. Adjustable output helps also.
  • Great little pump! By Eddie on 4/6/2014

I use the Sicce Syncra Silent 0.5 pump to feed my calcium reactor. Although it has a 1/2" NPT outlet, it only accepts the supplied 1/2" NPT x 1/2" barb fitting (unless modified). I modified mine to accomodate a 1/2" x 1/4 JG fitting and it works perfectly. Dead Silent and only 8 watts.
  • So quiet!! By James211 on 5/14/2013

I bought this pump to replace a Quiet One pump. Obviously the Quiet One wasn't so quiet cause this thing is dead silent! I'm tempted to replace my other two pumps with these.

will this pump fit into a JBJ nano 28g tank. want to replace both stock return pumps.
Question by: james on Mar 13, 2016 10:54:00 PM
Great question!
The dimensions of the pump are 3.5" x 1.9" x 2.8" You will want to ensure your tank has this area in the back compartment however on the JBJ28 gallon this should work fine. Feel free to let us know if you have any further questions!
