- Syncra Silent 0.5 Pump (185 GPH) - Sicce
Why does BRS recommend this?
The Syncra Silent line of pumps come in many different sizes and will fit most tank needs. Sicce uses high quality magnets in their pumps, which allows them to spin smoother with less noise than almost all other pumps in their price category. If your tank needs a high flow return pump, or a smaller pump for a low flow reactor our first choice will always be Sicce.

Hardly Quiet. By Puckhog on 1/9/2019Puckhog wouldn't recommend this product to a friendThis pump is not quiet at all. I have had two and they both rattle loud enoug to hear it outside the cabinet when the door is closed. The impeller is very quiet but they put it in a cheap plastic housing that rattles agains itself. I took mine out and bought another brand that I am much happier with. Not sure why BRS recommends this pump.
Fragile outlet By Rutso on 9/11/2018Rutso wouldn't recommend this product to a friendI broken the outlet when trying to insert the hose and there is no replacement part for this and without replacement part, the pump is basically useless.
Good: Powerful and compact
Bad: Fragile outlet, no replacement parts for outlet
Great Nano Pump By Pard on 7/19/2018Pard would recommend this product to a friendUsing in my IM Fusion 10 for the return pump. Great flow for it, even have it dialed down some.
Mine wasn't strong enough to get up and over my sump By Nathan on 6/25/2018Nathan wouldn't recommend this product to a friendMaybe I had bad luck, but my pump literally wasn't strong enough to go up out of an ATO res, over 3 feet and into my sump depending on the water level. I went back to my MJ1200. It doesn't seem to match the other reviews but it was my experience.
What pump? By William on 3/11/2018William would recommend this product to a friendOhhhh, that pump! It’s so dang quiet I forgot it was there. Yeah, it’s great, Woooo! (In my best ric flair voice)
Great for Nuvo 10 By Old Salt on 2/19/2018Old Salt would recommend this product to a friendThis is a great upgrade for the Innovative Marine Nuvo Fusion 10. Add an IM Spinstream and the flow is just about perfect.
great little pump By Dustin on 9/22/2017Dustin would recommend this product to a friendI put this pump on my dual reactor and have been very pleased with it so far. The only thing I did not like was there is some sort of plastic molded insert inside the female outlet that blocked me from adding a 1/2 pvc male to hard plumb it. I did manage to break it off and remove it but it was an unexpected project that did take time so I didn't damage the threads. Overall, I am very pleased with the pump and would recommend this to anyone.
Perfect nano return By Mwood50 on 1/6/2017Mwood50 would recommend this product to a friendBought this because my biocube 14 stock return was too noisy for my liking. Stock tubing doesn't fit as snug to this pump as I'd like and is a tad too long but by having to angle the tubing to fit it puts enough pressure on the ends to keep it in place. I can now enjoy my tank with out the constant humming of the return pump. Once in a great while it will hum or rattle and that's because the wiring has gotten too close to the pump, I simply tug on it slightly and back to quiet it goes. I will only buy Sicce from now on
Works great By Robert on 12/24/2016Robert would recommend this product to a friendI use this to move RODI water from one can to another and it is nice and quiet and works well. I should have got a bigger pump for this task but nothing against this pump.
Excellent Pump By James_H on 3/19/2016James_H would recommend this product to a friendI purchased this sicce pump based on other reviews and watching youtube videos including sicce pumps. In the past, I had gravitated to RIO for small aquarium pumps. I am very pleased with my decision to go with sicce. the pump is dead silent, small and powerful . The only thing I worried about after installing the pump was how to deal with the increased flow (was considerably more powerful than the stock pump that came with my 10 gallon nano). Fortunately, the pump also has a flow restrictor so that it can be dialed back if needed. If I need another pump, I will definitely be getting a sicce from BRS.
Sicce Syncra Silent 0.5 pump (185GPH) By Chuck on 12/28/2015Chuck would recommend this product to a friendThe pump works great with my Calcium Reactor, for the feed pump. I used the 1/2" male npt x 1/4" barb adapter and hooked everything up great.
Great Pump. By Robert on 9/24/2015Robert would recommend this product to a friendGreat little pump dead silent. I am using it to feed a UV Sterilizer and the adjustable output is perfect for slow flow.
What do you recommend for a pump to tumble rowaphos in reactor
We like to use a Sicce 1.5 for our reactors with GFO.
What is the head maximum section? Is that headroom pressure?

Will this pump fit into a JBJ nano 28g tank. want to replace both stock return pumps.
The dimensions of the pump are 3.5" x 1.9" x 2.8" You will want to ensure your tank has this area in the back compartment however on the JBJ28 gallon this should work fine. Feel free to let us know if you have any further questions!
