The Tunze Turbelle FlowJet 5600 is a controllable recirculation pump designed for quiet, reliable operation in freshwater and saltwater aquariums. Its magnetically supported, completely axle-free design eliminates the traditional ceramic or metal axle found in many aquarium pumps, reducing friction, vibration, and a common point of mechanical wear.
With a maximum flow rate of 1,532 GPH and a maximum head height of 11.65 feet, the FlowJet 5600 is best suited for use as a return pump. While this pump has a maximum head height rating of just over 11.5 feet, Tunze optimized the impeller for applications with approximately 6.5 feet of head.
Magnetic Bearings for Quiet Operation
Unlike most return pumps that utilize a traditional ceramic or metal axle, the FlowJet 5600 uses magnetic bearings. This helps minimize friction and vibration for smooth, quiet operation while eliminating the ceramic or metal axle as a potential wear point. There are also no metal components within the pump's water-contact area.
Easy Maintenance
Routine maintenance is kept simple with a tool-free design. Maintenance-related components can be accessed without tools, and the impeller is easily accessed by releasing the pump's clamping ring.
Tunze App Control
The included Turbelle Controller 7020 allows the FlowJet 5600 to be controlled through the Tunze App for iOS and Android. The app provides centralized control over the pump's operating parameters along with other compatible Tunze equipment.
The pump also features a continuously adjustable outlet that can rotate 360 degrees, making it easier to position the outlet around your sump and return plumbing.
