Sicce’s Pump Clean is completely natural which makes it ideal for cleaning your reef aquarium equipment. Return pumps and powerheads can quickly build up calcium carbonate (limescale) precipitate around moving parts where friction causes heat, and after a while this buildup can cause pumps to slow down or stop entirely. Pump Clean quickly dissolves limescale buildup from water pumps, heaters, and plumbing parts without the use of harsh chemicals that could put your reef tank at risk. Household vinegar is often a cleaning product of choice because of its safety, but the smell is a definite downside and it may take a while to work. Sicce Pump Clean is far superior since you can mix custom solution strengths from the powder and it won’t stink up your entire house when it’s time to do some pump maintenance.

Take the time to care for your aquarium equipment properly and keep that life-support system running smoothly. Just whip up a batch of Sicce Pump Clean, give your pumps a short soak, rinse, and have them working like new again!

  • Quickly dissolves mineral buildup on equipment
  • 100% Safe, environmentally friendly, biodegradable, green, organic powder

Product Questions

Would this product be okay to use to clean a DC return pump like the mighty jet?
Question by: Kat on Nov 6, 2022, 12:04 AM
Thanks for the question! This cleaner is good for both return pumps (AC and DC) as well as powerheads. Please let us know if we can help with anything else!

I have a question about the dosage. The English directions state 4 tbsp per gallon. The Spanish directions 4 tbsp per liter, which is 4 times stronger. Which is correct?
Question by: Greg Marion on Jul 21, 2022, 10:43 AM
Thanks for the question! The instructions we have are 4tbsp per Quart (1/4 gallon) or 3/4 cup per gallon. This leads me to believe the 4tbsp per liter is the correct instructions to get a saturated cleaning solution. Please let us know if we can help with anything else!

Can Sicce Pump Clean be used to clean an older encrusted reef tank? Red Sea Max 500 with mineral and coraline encrusted all over. Tank has been sitting dry for a couple of years.

Or, do you have a better recommendation?
Question by: Tony Schoendorff on May 15, 2022, 9:12 PM
Hey there,
Thank you for reaching out to us. It can but we would recommend citric acid instead or a water and vinegar solution.

Please let me know if you need anything further and take care!
