Just awesome By Scott from Rosco's Reef on 5/2/2018Scott from Rosco's Reef would recommend this product to a friendConnection to the gateway way and app is really easy and all you need to do is go through the instructions and do everything as it says, one step at a time and you will have no problem with the connection. It took me about an hour from box to hanging over my tank and programmed with my favorite preset connected to the gateway link. Can't wait to get another light and test the connectivity between both.
Great product By Jim on 4/28/2018Jim would recommend this product to a friendI entered the gateway address and had no problem connecting to the gateway. I found my light instantly and selected the slow acclimation program and sent to my light. It's pretty much like the Ecotech Reef Link in most respects except you don't have to enter your wifi password, etc.
Happy with Orphek Gateway By Bob on 4/27/2018Bob would recommend this product to a friendI bought my Orphek lights to upgrade a tank that I have been running for 6 yrs with SPS and LPS corals.
The app was really easy to install and to connect the Gateway to the router and boom! Everything was working in less than a minute and I am able to control my lights from any place.
Have been using Orpheks for quite a while now and I am really happy. I really recommend this product. Everything works just as they said it would. No need to be a geek to figure all out ;-)
Not real Confident By Stieney on 4/20/2018Stieney wouldn't recommend this product to a friendI purchased the Atlantic Compaq V4 and the Gateway. I could not have been more excited for the light to get to me. I had read some posts where there were problems initially setting up the light so I decided try to get them working before hanging them over my tank. I downloaded the app but could not get it to see the light. There is a code on the gateway that you have to put in the app to search for the gateway. I contacted BRS and they gave me the Orphek support email. So I spent many emails back and forth troubleshooting. Come to find out that BRS sent the wrong gateway. There is a new V2 gateway that will only work with my light. Orphek support sent the replacement but I have a feeling that it was not a new one because the unique ID number that is needed to find the gateway with the app was marked over with magic marker and not readable. So again I had to contact orphek via email to find out what to do next. I was finally able to get the identifier and find the light within the app. I was able to program it and it looks beautiful. I do like the way it makes the tank look. I like to tinker. Twice after I hung the light, I tried to access the light via the app to make slight changes to the program. The light was not found. Eventually by closing and reopening the app it popped back up. Hence, my apprehension about this fixture. I was caught hook, line and sinker by BRS' orphek claims that it could possibly be the best LED out there. It took 5 days for a resolution to happen. During that time I had real considerations on sending it back. I am planning on sticking with it. Hopefully, I was the first sale of this light and now BRS is shipping out the correct gateway. I have to say that it was frustrating sending the emails back and forth. I am hoping that they soon will offer phone support soon as it desperately needed. My 5 day ordeal could have ben only a couple of days.
