- A360X Controllable LED Aquarium Light - Tuna Blue - Kessil
Low Profile. Advanced Color Control. Smart Communication
Kessil A360X LED lights cover more of your tank while blending better than almost any other LED available. Using Kessil Logic, tuning the light for optimal coral growth and coloration is easy since the A360X will automatically adjust to a balanced spectrum for the light color that you want to see. Kessil A360 lights have always been known for their outstanding shimmer effect while maintaining uniform color mixing throughout the aquarium. We have used all types of Kessil LED lights over the years and have been very impressed with their quality, control, and lighting output.
Recommended Coverage - 24" x 24"
Perfect for reef tanks and can produce light that has a rich deep blue all the way to bright natural daylight. Kessil has been tuning the Dense Matrix LEDs to bring out the best growth and coloration in corals. The adjustable spectrum lets you choose the color you want to see, while Kessil Logic ensures a balanced spectrum and power output.
Higher Photon Volume Density - A360X has a low profile design with higher light output, thanks to the redesigned, first-class sunflower heat sink.
Advanced Color Control - A360X has more color control, opening unlimited color combinations for aesthetics while maintaining the performance of the core spectrum
Low Dimming & Improved Transitioning - A360X features smoother color transitioning and dimming, including moonlight effect.
Smarter Communication - The new K-Link communication method is an upgrade of the easy plug & play 0-10V, allowing users to network multiple A360X together and set individual groups to run their own programs.
Light Shaping Capability - A360X can be used with optical accessories to shape light, allowing users to modify the look of the aquarium to their liking.
Coverage - The newly designed A360X optics along with the latest generation Dense Matrix LED array to provide a broader delivery of light and eliminate shading.
Spectrum - The well-known Tuna Blue spectrum has been proven by its users to promote coral growth and enhance coloration. With Kessil Logic, it ensures consistent power output and coral growth across the tunable spectrum.
Shimmer - The Kessil shimmer effect gives your tank a beautiful, natural, sunlit look comparable to the shimmer of a Metal Halide fixture. It is like replicating your own piece of the ocean.
Penetration - Kessil's Patented Dense Matrix LED technology concentrates multiple LED chips into a single array, creating a powerful and penetrating light source with wide coverage. The maximum penetration can reach 24" to 30" beyond the water`s surface for most reefs. Penetration can be further enhanced by using the narrow reflector (coming soon).
Color Mixing - Different wavelengths are seamlessly blended within a single LED array, emitting uniform color across the coverage range, and reducing individual color separation to almost nothing.
Full-Color Spectrum - In addition to the popular Tuna Blue spectrum, users can add in Red, Green, and Violet+Indigo (Purple) by using the new Spectral Controller X or the Kessil WiFi Dongle.
Heat Management - The innovative heat management system enhances longevity and efficiency on all A360X lights
Dense Matrix LED - Kessils densely-packed LED array emits more high-quality light than competing fixtures.
Wireless - The Kessil A360X WiFi Dongle lets you control any A360X light without the need of additional cords or hardware. The WiFi Dongle will plug right into the K-Link connector and let you connect directly to the light with any Android or iOS phone. The intuitive app boasts a ton of features that lets you do everything from daily automated programming to manual programming for photoshoots or just showing off your reef tank.
Hardwired - The Kessil Spectral Controller X is packed with features that let you simulate the natural rise and fall of the sun throughout the day. You do not necessarily need the Spectral Controller X, but adding it to your A360X lights will unlock additional features and modes that give you endless customization of the lights for your aquarium. You can even connect multiple Kessil A360X LED Lights together for larger tanks with the K-Link Cable to create a seamless day-cycle between all the lights.

Tuning Your New LED Light
Most LED lights will actually put out more light than your corals will actually need and without a PAR Meter to test the overall output, it is really hard to guess if the light is too dim or intense. We highly suggest using a PAR Meter to test the output of your lights at different points throughout your tank that you can use to tune the lights output or know where to put specific corals.

Love Kessil! Outstanding By Michael on 7/6/2020Michael would recommend this product to a friendHave 2 kessil A360x lights! Will be purchasing another one! Very impressed. Great colors, great coral growth! Shimmering effect is amazing and beautiful! I couldn’t imagine my tanks with any other lights! Brs, and Kessil support is fantastic as well! Paired with the spectral control x I wouldn’t imagine my set ups with any other lights! Thanks to all at BRS and there Investigates team! You won’t regret going with these lights! Price is up there, but your getting what you pay for!!!
Love these lights By Iberty Reefing on 5/1/2020Iberty Reefing would recommend this product to a friendExcellent lights. My big gripe is why on earth would my lights require location access every time I open the app? Plus I never want to log in with social media garbage so why can't I click don't ask me again? Spectrum, intensity, shimmer, coverage all seem outstanding. Corals all seem happy. Mou ting arms are nice if you need to move a lite a smidgen just rotate a bit. Wifi dingle works well. Compatible with most any usbc cable. Would buy again today.
Decent light. By William on 2/25/2020William would recommend this product to a friendThe A 360x is a decent light for the money but is lacking on intensity on large tanks without supplemental lighting ( ie T5 ). It is also a letdown even after the wifi dongle release the lights are still not Apex compatible .
Great light By Brian on 2/18/2020Brian would recommend this product to a friendVery nice light, well worth the money for the amount of reliability, ease of use and over all looks inside the tank and out
Shimmer and reliable By Angrytang on 2/17/2020Angrytang would recommend this product to a friendSPS grows better and has more color than with the AP700 or Radion Gen 3 Pros. The controller is the way to go. The apps are always terrible, I don’t care what anyone says.
Awesome Light!! By Bradley on 1/14/2020Bradley would recommend this product to a friendThis light is the best light you can have for your reef tank. Truthfully I'v never owned another light other then kessil lights. Set my first Reef tank up 8 years ago and went with the A360w. I happen to be setting up a new tank when these came out after being out of the hobby for few years and it was a no brainer. There is a reason why I've never owned another light other than Kessil lights. These are designed to grow coral, plain and simple. No way that you can mess that up like with other lights. Just set it to what looks best to you and watch your corals take off. It's that simple, and the way it should be. If you have never owned kessil lights before and you're thinking about these lights then just go for it. You wont be sorry.
The addition of UV Red And Green channels makes this light even better now. IMO the clouds and lightning are just gimmicks but they are fun to play with and show off to friends and family.
Keep it simple stupid (KISS) By Luke on 12/6/2019Luke would recommend this product to a friendI'm making a transition from Geisemann Vervve lights to Kessil A360X units. They're both awesome units but there is a liberating feeling when making adjustments in 10 seconds with analog knobs. I now have one A360X and two Geisemann Vervves over the tank. Have to save lots more pennies. The shimmer from the Kessil sets it apart. If I had to choose one word for the looks of the tank under the Kessil it would be Crisp. Not looking back, will be getting two more A360Xs.
Out competes the competition. By Castor on 8/18/2019Castor would recommend this product to a friendThis light was built in a laboratory by scientists. Years of research and development by a multi million dollar company is going to yield better results that competitors piecing together parts from external sources. With that in mind I will explain two dichotomies of this light. How I perceive it and how the coral reacts to it.
My perceptions. The light provides a deep and rich coloration of the corals. The shimmer is enthralling and adds action to the tank. Functionality is plug and play. Kessil logic is severely underrated. There’s no guesswork with spectrum. Along with intensity control you don’t really need any other features. Buy a digital timer and set off and on. Ramp up and ramp down isn’t necessary and is a gimmick or just offers aesthetics.
How the coral reacts. Growth is steady and quick given that your other two parameters are on point - flow and water parameters. Coral also tends to gain more color due to the balanced spectrum especially in LPS colonies. True UV helps too. I would recommend the X controller. Starting with an all blue spectrum, bringing the color to 100% white, and then back down to blue over a 8-12 hour period will be beneficial in tanks with SPS and some LPS colonies or frags.
Many people have an issue with the price point, but when you have thousands of dollars of coral in your tank spending an extra few hundred on currently the best LED out there seems a rather moot point. I would recommend using more than one fixture or at least supplementing with T5. ATI Blue+ and Actinic or ATI Actinic + Gieseman Super Actinic. Shadowing with only one fixture would be rather significant due to the 130 degree lens. For SPS get the narrow lens option to help combat the shadowing. LPS doesn’t need it.
Great light amazing growth By christopher on 8/12/2019christopher would recommend this product to a friendAll I can say is I have used just about every led light out there and this light is amazing , looks great, corals grow very fast and set up was a breeze with the controller x .Just buy it , you won't regret it..

Really the prettiest light you can buy By Samuel on 5/9/2019Samuel would recommend this product to a friendI’ve used AI, Radion, RapidLED, Maxxspect, and even created my own “light cannon” with a single 20K 100w LED diode mounted to a CPU heatsink.
I’m running the Aquatic Life T5 60” fixture with 3 A360x’s over a 72”x20”x17” shallow tank at about 12” off the water. The original plan was to run 4 but the coverage with 3 is fantastic.
I had been using, and was committed to, Radions until I watched the BRS video on these. I never felt the disco effect was a big deal but I was stuck in that weird place where I thought I needed 3 XR30 Pros and I didn’t want to shell out that kind of cash.
Once you see the Kessils you will understand. Coupled with T5’s they perfectly create the movement and energetic look that MH’s gave you. Radions really do look nice and they’re definitely powerful but they are just not comparable to the Kessils.
Unfortunately I don’t think LED’s can give you a uniform spectrum and the coverage of T5’s just yet. Hopefully someone figures out how to combine Kessils with an Orphek someday.
Hello, I currently have 4 x T5's on my 4ft 100 gallon FOWLR but looking to upgrade to LED. How many Kessil A360X would I need and also, should I retain the T5's or use LED only? Thank you.
On my 4ft 75 gallon reef I use the 48" Aquatic Life hybrid T5 setup with 2 Kessil A360s and absolutely love it! You can certainly get away with just 2-3 kessils by themselves but the hybrid fixture covers each lighting method's weaknesses extremely well (which is why kessils + T5s are on of our most highly recommended lighting combinations for hybrid setups).
Hello, what mount do you recommend for a rimmed tank? My tank is 125g so rim is thick. Thanks
I hope this was helpful. Please reach back out if you have any further questions!
Do I have to purchase additional k link cables in order to connect my kessils through the spectral x controller?
The Spectral X controller will come with one K-link cable to connect to one Kessil A360X, but if you want to hook more Kessils together you will need additional K-link cables. Have a great day!
Are these lights apex compatible to control color and intesity?
Unfortunately there is no Apex compatibility with the 360x, only the 360WE.
I currently am running 3 kessil A360w Tuna Blues. One has recently stopped working. Can I replace it with the 360x? If so can they still all be connected together and operate through the original spectrum controller?
The lights can be daisy cahined still but the 360x would not be able to be controlled by the Spectral Controller. You have to have the new controller for the 360x.
What is its coverage? one will work for a 30"x20"x20" tank?
Are they apex compatible?
Unfortunately, these are not Apex compatible at the moment :(
