5 Flow Settings - Precise control of the pump for any application.

True Slow Startup - Easy on equipment and saves energy.

Detachable Controller - Waterproof union.

Float Switch - Creates a new standard for pump safety.

Rotatable Volute - Rotates in 90-degree intervals.

Integrated Memory - Keeps programming even during power outages.

Feed Mode - Shuts down for 15 or 60 minutes.

Submersible or External - Perfect as a return, closed loop, or reactor/filter pump.

Super Quiet Operation - Perfect for places where any noise is not tolerable.

Control

The safe and energy efficient VarioS DC pump now include the new VarioS controller giving you more control. With 5 different energy saving speeds and two feed modes, the controller lets you know what your pump is doing at a glance.

Third Party Control

There is a dedicated port on the VarioS controller letting you directly connect your VarioS pump to any third party controller through a 0-10V reference port. Controlling your pump through a controller like an Apex lets you create your own flow profiles which are particularly handy for closed loop systems creating a random flow throughout the aquarium.

Safety

Having a pump that lets you directly attach a float switch has several advantages. The float can let you set high or low points in your sump, skimmer cup, or display tank that will shut the pump off when the float is activated.

The VarioS controller includes a waterproof 3-conductor union that connects to the pump creating a safe and detachable connection.

Product Questions

What is the GPH for 1st setting?
Question by: Chris Dinkel on Nov 17, 2022, 1:59 PM
Thanks for reaching out to us! Each indicator is 20% so the 1st speed is going to be roughly 540gph. Please let us know if we can help with anything else!

Is there a cable to extend from the pump to the controller? I purchased two of these pumps for a build and my control box is to far away to connect to the pumps
Question by: Kurtis Doudt on Dec 5, 2019, 11:08 PM
Hey there!

Unfortunately there are no cable extensions for the varios pumps.

Take care
Answer by: Thomas Billington on Dec 6, 2019, 11:52 AM
These come with both a union and a nipple output attachments. Does the nipple restrict flow?
Question by: Dustin Head on Jan 1, 2018, 10:18 PM
Thanks for contacting BRS!

The way I'm reading it, the barb fitting is not a reducing bushing. Have a great day!
Answer by: Josh Cuta on Jan 8, 2018, 5:24 PM
What do I need to hook these pumps up to my apex gold? I have a vdm but am unsure of what else I need.
Question by: Kurt on Nov 27, 2017, 9:18 PM
Since you have the VDM module, all you will need is an open variable speed port, the Varios controller and an Icecap Y Module Cable. That cable will plug into the 0-10v connection on the controller and then into the variable speed port giving you control of the pump through your Apex. : )

Is there an extension for the cable? I need more then 6 ft
Question by: Art Medina on Nov 19, 2017, 10:08 AM
Hey there,

I'm afraid we don't sell extension cords directly, but I imagine any appropriate grounded cord would work.

Have a great day!

Can this pump be connected to the icecap battery backup?
Question by: Zack on May 12, 2017, 3:57 AM
Hey there,
The Varios pumps are compatible with the Ice Cap battery. It's just a matter of using the right power plug adapter, and Ice Cap provides a number of plug adapters for the majority of pumps on the market.

Happy reefing!
