The Maxspect Jump MJ-SK2600 Gen 2 is a compact, DC-powered protein skimmer designed for marine and reef aquariums. Its dual water intake and dual needle wheel design help mix air and water inside the reaction chamber, producing fine, dense bubbles for effective organic waste removal.

The integrated water level regulator allows the skimmer’s internal water level to be adjusted for different sump conditions. An integrated silencer and redesigned spiral chamber help reduce operating noise, while the compact footprint makes the skimmer suitable for sumps with limited space.

Quieter and Smarter Performance

The Gen 2 design features a spiral chamber and sine wave pump technology to help reduce operational noise. Its optimized air-to-water ratio produces fine, dense microbubbles, while the adjustable right-side water intake provides additional control over water flow and skimmer performance.

The skimmer can also operate in a single-intake configuration, allowing water to pass through two filtration pathways within the skimmer body. An adjustable internal water level helps accommodate different sump depths and preferred skimming conditions.

Advanced Smart Controller

The included DC controller provides adjustable pump speed, feed mode, startup delay, and overflow protection. These controls allow the skimmer’s performance to be adjusted for aquarium conditions and temporarily paused during feeding or maintenance.

If the collection cup overflow sensor is triggered, the controller automatically reduces the pump to its lowest speed instead of shutting it off completely. This helps maintain water movement and oxygenation while preventing collected waste from flowing back into the aquarium. Normal operation resumes after the collection cup has been emptied and the sensor no longer detects an overflow condition.

Quick-Release Design for Effortless Maintenance

A quick-release mechanism provides easier access to the skimmer’s internal components for routine cleaning and maintenance. The integrated air silencer can also be detached and cleaned to help maintain consistent airflow and reduce buildup over time.
