Slide-Loc Quick Release Lever, Probe Holders, and Frag Tile Mounts - Versatility Reimagined

While the small company is fairly new, the brand and products carry the hallmarks we expect from industry leaders - innovation, quality, and commitment to hobbyists. Slide-Loc products are hand-crafted and manufactured in the USA, not too far from the BRS headquarters in fact. While it is the Quick-Release Levers that have garnered most of the attention lately, Slide-Loc also makes magnetic frag racks, probe mounts, tube holders, insulated travel containers for corals, and isolation boxes for acclimating new fish.
Now before you go thinking there is nothing innovative or exciting about a probe holder or frag rack, hear me out. Slide-Loc most definitely innovates and these everyday accessories are a step above the rest with unique features all their own.
Quick Release Lever
Nylon thumbscrews are most commonly used to hold the lids of media reactors. As a user, these thumbscrews become quite painful when monthly maintenance requires that you remove them. Over time the screws can swell and become difficult to remove, let alone the removal/installation process takes forever.
Slide-Loc's levers are made of stainless steel and aluminum and are designed to replace those pesky nylon thumbscrews. Once installed, all you have to do is flip up and remove the levers for quick and easy access to the inside of your reactor. The thumbscrews are available in multiple thread sizes to fit most of the major brand-name media reactors on the market. All of the screws utilize a 3/16" hex drive which can be tightened using the lever itself. See the product descriptions for detailed reactor brand compatibility.
While the most common application for the levers is on a media reactor, the levers will work to replace almost any appropriately sized nylon screw that requires regular removal for maintenance such as your protein skimmer body, algae scrubber, CO2 scrubber, or filter roller.
Tile-Loc Frag Tile Holder
Square frag tiles offer some great advantages over a traditional frag plug, especially for encrusting corals. Unfortunately, the flat design makes it difficult to secure the flat frag tiles onto traditional frag racks.
Enter the Tile-Loc which rests nicely into a traditional frag rack and will secure up to x2 frag tiles. This way your tiles won't go sliding off the frag rack or get moved around by snails and crabs.
The holder accepts both square and round frag tiles with a maximum diameter of 1.25". They are compatible with all of the Slide-Loc brand frag holders as well as traditional racks made with egg crate style light diffuser material. Each holder is injected molded using durable plastic that won't corrode or break down over time meaning they are reusable and 100% reef-safe.
Universal Probe & Water Line Holder
One of the cleverest probe holders we have seen to date, Slide-Loc's Universal Probe Holders will not only secure your probes tightly in place but will also accept a wide range of different probes and tubing diameters so you can centralize all of your dosing, water lines, and probes to a single mount.
The Probe & Water Line Holder is available in two different sizes to accommodate either 4 or 7 total attachments. The probe ports fit your standard 1/2" monitoring probes with one larger port to accommodate the Neptune Systems Temperature probe. It also accommodates a range of both rigid and flexible tubing sizes including both 1/4" rigid RO tubing and 3/8" flexible tubing common on some dosing pumps.
Each port contains locking silicone tabs that will secure your probes or tubing in place yet also allows for easy removal. The probe holders feature a strong, double-sealed magnetic mount and are made using both acrylic and durable ABS plastic.
Universal Dosing Tube Holder
Almost identical in design to the Universal Probe & Tube Holders, the dedicated Dosing Tube Holder foregos the probe ports and will accommodate up to six individual tubing connections instead.
The universal and locking tube connections are what make this tubing holder special alongside the sturdy construction and sealed magnetic mounts. You don't need to worry about different tubing diameters and you can centralize your ATO, Auto Water Exchange, and Dosing Lines together, using a single holder. It is made from durable ABS plastic, acrylic, reef-safe bonding compound, and silicone. The double-sealed magnet is safe for mounting underwater and will hold firmly on glass or acrylic panels up to 1/2" thick.
Mini-Can Coral Transport
Travel with your precious coral frags worry-free using the TSA-Approved, water-tight Mini-Can Coral Transport. This ingenious plastic container holds up to 4 small frags using the patent-pending Slide-Loc channel system. The frags are firmly held in place via silicone tabs so you won't have to worry about frags being damaged or knocked around during travel.
The durable plastic containers feature a water-tight lid that won't leak if turned upside down and conveniently fits into most standard cup-holders. It is also TSA-compliant which means you can freely travel via airplane throughout the United States with your newly acquired corals in hand.
Slide-Loc also offers a clever Insulator (sold separately) made from neoprene material that will help reduce harsh water temperature fluctuations during long transit times.
