Waterbox FRAG Series Aquariums - The ULTIMATE Frag Tank or Shallow Reef
Shallow aquariums are the ideal platform for coral propagation because it is easier to illuminate the entire tank and provide the right flow conditions for corals. They also will have a larger footprint compared to most standard rectangular aquariums of equal volume which opens up more lateral space for the placement of frag racks, easy access to the coral fragments, and unobstructed top-down viewing.
If propagating corals is not your endgame, the shallow dimension can also make for a unique display aquarium with all of the same benefits we previously listed except you can focus on growing out larger colonies and creating an iconic reef scape. The open layout lets you create interesting aquascapes with more depth and negative space compared to taller tanks.

WaterBox Aquariums FRAG Series Tank Features
Waterbox Aquariums built the FRAG series aquariums at only 16" tall and the tanks come in 4 different sizes, all of which measures 16" tall by anywhere from 36" to 72" long. As with all Waterbox Aquariums, you get professional quality craftsmanship with low-iron glass, beveled & polished edges, clean silicone lines, and a one-piece glass overflow box with a glass weir and lid.
Each tank includes a heavy-duty solid plywood cabinet that is finished with your choice of either black or white polyurethane paint. Waterbox custom-designed the included plumbing to be easy to install yet versatile enough to accommodate advanced filtration techniques and customizations using standard PVC. The spacious baffled sumps are made of glass and ready to go, right out of the box, to hold all of your favorite filtration equipment.
