Dr. Judy St. Leger: How hobbyists can help grow the ornamental aquaculture research. | MACNA 2019

Dr. Judy St. Leger is a dedicated marine veterinarian and ocean conservationist. 10 years ago she founded Rising Tide Conservation, a program to promote marine ornamental aquaculture as an alternative to collecting fish.

Dr. St. Leger developed her experience and love for the oceans through an 18-year stay at SeaWorld as one of the talented marine animal veterinarians. In December of 2018, she left SeaWorld to give 100% of her efforts to marine conservation and is the standing president of Rising Tide. She is focused on the advancement of the group to become a worldwide authority on captive aquaculture and ultimately reduce the pressure on our world’s oceans.
