The AquaMaxx CO series skimmers are the workhorses of the AquaMaxx skimmer line that will provide consistent performance that you can rely on. The Sicce brand pump motor plays a big role and houses a proprietary needle-wheel style impeller that creates a dense foam. When combined with the proprietary Aquamaxx bottle-shaped bubble diffuser the turbulence inside the skimmer is reduced which increases the nutrient export capacity. The pump itself is strategically located outside of the skimmer body to provide more room inside which means even more contact time and easy access for cleaning.

As with all AquaMaxx skimmers, the acrylic construction will withstand the rigors of a saltwater aquarium when cared for properly. The sensitive outlet pipe adjustment works like a gate valve giving the user precision control over the water level inside the protein skimmer. The easy-to-remove collection cup has a handle and is pressure fitted into the skimmer's neck so you won't have to fight with threads when it comes time to clean it. The convenient collection cup drain fitting comes with a plug but can easily be connected to an external collection chamber should you desire. An industry-standard venturi air-silencer attaches directly to the skimmer neck but can be removed for easy cleaning.
