  • Must have for Module expansion By aquanut on 3/28/2016

I ran into the same problem as other users wherein my SSR's weren't working on some of the outlets on my RKL PC4. After an email exchange with DA I was informed that with the modules I had plugged into the RKL I exceeded the loading of the unit. I feel this is a design deficiency and just a way for the manufacturer to save money on cheaper SSR's. Anyway I was either going to have to.buy another PC4, Bus Expansion Hub, etc. I went with the Bus Expansion Hub for it's lower price point. You must buy a separate power supply for it to work though and it must be rated at 9VDC 500ma minimum. You can go higher than 500ma (recommended), but make sure the voltage is 9VDC and you match the polarity. I found an inexpensive power supply at Walmart for less than $15 rated at 600ma. It had adjustable voltage settings and adapters so just make sure if you purchase one like this you configure it correctly for this purpose. I plugged everything in and powered up use bus and everything works again.
  • RKM-HUB By Parapimp on 6/18/2014

Was having an issue with power loss to the SL1, SL2, and Net module. I was seeing false alarms and frequent system reboots/power loss. Once I added the hub in front of the modules it instantly resolved the issue. The only frustrating part is that the DC power supply does not come with the RKM-HUB. I do not have the unit in front of me but I believe it is a 9VDC 500mA power supply.
  • GREAT ADD ON By Jim on 4/24/2013

NEEDED TO ADD ADDITIONAL MODULES AND POWER STRIPS, TO COMPLETELY AUTOMATE MY REEF TANK. THIS PRODUCT MADE IT EASIER TO DO SO.
  • Needed it. By Alen on 11/27/2012

I wanted to add a sl1 to my qt, this helped me accomplish that, it helped me isolate that sl1 from my DT with its own wire.
  • Expandable By Tim on 6/9/2012

    Makes expandability a breeze.
  • Very Handy Addtion to your ReefKeeper By Harry on 2/25/2011

I added one of these to my system to allow me a bit more flexibility in the layout of mt ReefKeeper system. As a side benefit you can power the ReefKeeper system during a power out. A very handy add on.
