Prodibio - A Buyer's Guide
Since its founding in 1998, Prodibio has been known for its focus on bacteria-based solutions. While they are most well-known for their flagship product, BioDigest, their commitment to innovation over the past 25 years has led to the development of dozens of products that streamline aquarium maintenance and increase biodiversity in our aquatic environments.
Prodibio is even more unique as they employ glass vials, which outperform plastic containers in terms of oxidation and contamination. All vials are filled with argon or nitrogen instead of oxygen. This lack of oxygen within the vial keeps the bacteria dormant until the liquid is introduced into the aquarium.
1. BioDigest
Primary Use: When starting a new aquarium to kick-start the nitrogen cycle.
BioDigest is composed of natural bacterial strains selected for their ability to contribute to the biological filtration of the aquarium. These nitrifying and denitrifying bacterial strains work by converting ammonia into nitrites, nitrites into nitrates, and nitrates into nitrogen.
2. Stop Ammo
Primary Use: When starting a new aquarium, or if ammonia is a concern in an established system.

4. Bioptim
