Steve would recommend this product to a friendI've had my XP2000 for a little over a year now and have to say I am happy with it. Weekly maintenance cleaning and a vinegar bath every couple months have made this unit worry free. Even when I do clean the pump, there is barely any Calcium buildup on the inside. Starts up after every power cut and does a nice job skimming. I gave it a 4 for performance as I've never tried some of the high end 1k+ skimmers, but if you're in the 500.00 range this is a great skimmer. -

BDare would recommend this product to a friendI put this skimmer on a lightly stocked 120. I have to clean the cup every 3 days. This baby pulls thick nasty NOG like I've never seen in my 12 years of reefkeeping. VERY impressed with these skimmers and the bubble blaster pumps. -

Reefsurfing would recommend this product to a friendPump started off loud which was my only concern. After two weeks, my XP2000 has quieted down and this skimmer has been pulling full cups of dry skim every few days. -

Jack would recommend this product to a friendI upgraded from a Colralife 125 Skimmer, which I thought was working. Not even close. The Octopus, by far does a much better job removing the "gunk" from the tank. The only thing I'm not thrilled about is the noice level coming from the Bubble Blaster pump. Our tank is in the family room, and there is always a constant droan coming from under the tank. I've suspended the pump in the sump and it still makes noise. Other than that, I'm very pleased with the unit. I had a terrible Algea issue. This and the addition of the BRS dual GFO and some hard work, has finally got it under control. -

chefB would recommend this product to a friendThis is my secnond octopus skimmer and I would have to say this skimmer does so good it even pulls out the same amount of a 1,000$ skimmer. The skimmer was def a great up grade from my old octopus. -

Scott would recommend this product to a friendi recieved this skimmer and had a few problems with the pump restarting after i shut the skimmer off to feed my corals, i contacted CoralVue and they sent me a new pump...since then this skimmer is awesome for my 90g mixed reef, im glad i purchased it even though i had a hic-up in the process -

Lyle would recommend this product to a friendThis is my second octo skimmer, love them. Good build quality. Have to soak in viniger to clean some of the hard to reach areas, but is a great skimmer. Pulls nasty stuff out and will stink up the apt. Best skimmer I have owned.
