There is No Faster Way To Turn Bare Rock Into Beautiful Pink & Purple Coralline Encrusted Live Rock!
ARC Reef's Bottled Purple & Pink Coralline Algae is a truly unique product that contains multiple species of live coralline algae spores and nitrifying bacteria in a single solution. Unlike many other coralline algae accelerators that are mostly just calcium and other elements, ARC Reef's bottled coralline algae contains live algae that will populate on your reef tank's surfaces to create a vibrant pink crust over your rocks. Coralline algae has multiple beneficial effects for your saltwater aquarium, from discouraging nuisance algae growth to providing a habitat for beneficial bacteria and other microscopic creatures. Pairing Pink Fusion Coralline Algae with Purple Helix will give your tank a very natural coralline algae look much quicker than any other method.
We recommend using 8oz of Pink Fusion & Purple Helix Coralline Algae per 50 Gallons
- Unique 2 in 1 formula contains both live coralline algae spores and active nitrifying bacteria.
- Every bottle includes a minimum of 6 separate species of coralline, all with color variations of pink & purple that will populate throughout your tank.
- Effective in improving water quality by controlling ammonia and nitrite levels.
- Aids in rapidly establishing your tanks biological filtration using fresh multi-strain bacteria bottled on the day that it is shipped.
- Highest concentration of beneficial nitrifying bacteria which remove harmful nitrogenous waste.
- Helps cycle new fish tanks and eliminate new tank syndrome.
- Safe for use in all reef tanks and with all species of fish and coral.
- Establishes a natural organic balance in your aquarium.
- 100% all natural formula. No sulfur, copper, or phosphates.
Special Note - Bottled Coralline Algae from ARC Reef is bottled fresh and never sits on a shelf for more than a couple of days, at the most. Since it is a live substance, it is necessary to use the contents as soon as possible with a maximum of 14 days of the bottling date, which can be found on the side of the bottle.
Step 1 - Turn off any filters, sump pump, protein skimmer, and UV sterilizer if equipped. Leave powerheads on.
Step 2 - Shake bottle vigorously, as algae spores will start to adhere to the inner walls of the bottle during shipping.
Step 3 - Pour entire contents of the bottle into your saltwater aquarium. (If the bottle is cold, bring to room temperature).
Step 4 - Refill ½ to ¾ of the bottle with aquarium water then repeat steps 2 & 3, (we recommend doing this 3x’s).
Step 6 - Wait a minimum of 2 hours before turning all equipment back on.
Most reefers will start to see colored spots appear within a couple of weeks however it can take up to 3 months before effects can start to be seen. Coralline algae does not grow super fast and patience is a virtue when it comes to any saltwater aquarium, but making sure that your tank parameters are in the correct ranges and steady can help accelerate the growth (see tips below).

PRO TIPS FOR FAST GROWTH!
Raise your Temperature. Coralline algae grows very slowly, its growth rate is approximately 10x’s more rapid in tropical waters than in the Arctic. If the temperature of your tank is below 78 °F. then increase the temperature to 78-82 °F. this will increase the reproductive growth rate by nearly 15% Make sure to keep the temperature stable with a heater controller.
Aquatic Life Loves Stability and so Does Coralline Algae. You must keep your water parameters stable through regular monitoring and water testing. Smaller more frequent water changes are preferred over larger less often water changes, this helps eliminate any shock to the spores. Salinity and PH are the 2 most important parameters to keep stable.
More Frequent Water Changes. You should be doing regular water changes at least twice monthly. Nearly every problem can be fixed with a water change. High nitrates? Water change! Cloudy water? Water change! Nuisance algae? Water change! Got ick? Water Change! Are corals shriveling up? Water change! Spending all your money on corals? Ok, well that’s one that a water change can’t fix but for nearly everything else, a partial water change will fix, or at least give you more time to find the problem. Your aquarium is a closed system and can easily be put off balance.
Have Patience. If you’re new to the hobby this tip will save your hard-earned cash from being flushed down the drain. Only bad things happen overnight in this hobby. Add livestock slowly and never change anything quickly. It’s best to think of your aquarium like a very old man, it doesn’t adapt well to change (and at times can smell like an old sock!).

Over 1 year....Fantastic, can't go wrong By Paul on 5/21/2020Paul would recommend this product to a friendFor any of you out there checking my name on reviews, you will find this is one of a very few. This product works! Do NOT buy during a time that could potentially cause the product to freeze. Follow the instructions and it is awesome! I have some amazing coralline in the tank and it is thriving. This is not a review after 1 month or 2 month, this review comes at 14 months after introducing this product. I would recommend this product to anyone starting a new tank. I followed the BRS 4 month cycle and introduced this product at the time BRS recommended adding/introducing coralline algae. It took about 2 months for it to really get going but OMG once it did, the pinks and purples were awesome! Now all I have to do is clean the class and boom, more coralline in the water. In fact, this product worked so well, I wish I could limit the amount of coralline in the tank.....especially on pumps. This is an awesome product and anyone saying that unwanted species came into their tank with this product are just trying to find an excuse as to why their tank is not thriving the way they thought it should be. It is just water and spores, that is it!!! You can NOT go wrong with this with!
I think it arrived dead after being frozen By Andy on 5/8/2020Andy wouldn't recommend this product to a friendI will try this product again one more time, but after several months, nothing. Although I believe it to be a problem with shipping I ordered it during the cooler months of the year and afraid it died in transit despite their efforts to keep it warm it was not warm at all when I open the package, it was cool to the touch.
Coraline after 4 weeks By Jon on 4/22/2020Jon would recommend this product to a friendStarted with dry rock. After 4 weeks I have spots popping up all over!
This adds multiple strains of not only coriline but bacteria By Craig on 4/16/2020Craig would recommend this product to a friendI have been reefing for over 20+ years and at first I was skeptical. The first week I got a crazy bloom in bacteria. However now that it has balanced out I now have new strains of not only coraline that I have never seen but also in bacteria, and algae. Keep in mind the pink does seem to prefer no to low light areas. At first I thought it didn't work. but when I cleaned my powerheads I found it behind the magnets, or in dark areas of rockwork. It may even prefer anaerobic but im not sure. none the less 5 of 5. just give it time!
great results By Alex on 4/8/2020Alex would recommend this product to a friendI ordered this from algae barn the day they released it, it came quickly and also had a little pipe cleaner to help scrub the inside of the bottle to get every little bit of coraline algae spores. Took about 4 months and an entire rock is covered in purple and pink coraline,
Awesome product By RP on 3/28/2020RP would recommend this product to a friend3rd tank purchasing this for. Follow directions and it does what it’s supposed to.
Algae Barn did an awesome job of shipping. Product has expiration date and received it super fast
Spots everywhere after 1.5 months By Jordan on 3/9/2020Jordan would recommend this product to a friendIt’s been maybe 1.5 months since adding a few bottles. I did have some coralline on a few rocks. I added this to speed up growth and add more species. I did bump up my tank temp to about 80 to increase growth also. The black textured abs floor of my bare bottom tank is now covered with spots/ clusters of purple. It is blowing up. Product does what it says.
Be Patient By KYLE on 2/27/2020KYLE would recommend this product to a friendFollowed instructions on the bottle and after 6 weeks i have some good Coralline growth on power heads, overflow, and tiny specs on live rock. Working just how product describes.
Works fast! By Chris on 2/6/2020Chris would recommend this product to a friendAfter new tank running for 3 months without any indication of coralline I bought the pink and purple kit. In one week we have approximately 30 spots of coralline growing on the bare bottom glass. At first I thought they were snail eggs since we had just added new CUC. Extremely pleased with this purchase!
Seeded Dry Rock By Marshall on 12/30/2019Marshall would recommend this product to a friendAdded 2 bottles of Pink and 2 bottles of Purple to a new 150 gal BB dry rock system. Started seeing small spots of purple, pink and magenta all over my tank after about 6-8 weeks. Now i'm 12 weeks in and have several small dime size spots. Not the quickest or cheapest but an effective way to introduce a variety of coralline algae to your system. The diversity was worth it to me. Check the bottled date before you use.
Large amounts of pink coraline growth By James on 12/25/2019James would recommend this product to a friendI have a 6 month old bare bottom 350 gal tank. After three weeks the dots started forming. After six weeks it’s everywhere. Adheres to plastic (overflows and bottom) first and less on rock.
Works as advertised By Ryan on 12/24/2019Ryan would recommend this product to a friendAfter 8 weeks I had coraline. After 14 weeks its everywhere. I did add snails encrusted with coraline, so it is possible that was the source, but in my humble opinion, the coraline is from the spores in the bottle. Also, I used a pink and a purple bottle (I have a 75 gallon), and as a result I have BOTH types growing in my tank. I see this as a must-have when starting any future reef tank. One word of caution: buy from a trusted source. This stuff has a shelf life. If the piece of limestone in the bottle doesnt have visible coraline on it, its expired, thus useless.
