Upgrade your Tunze Osmolator | How To Tuesday
Option 1: Install inline between a freshwater storage container and your tank or sump. When installed this way, the valve will open when the Osmolator is triggered by a low water sensor.
Option 2: Hooking the RO system up directly to the tank. There are two considerations for this.
First, the RO system is going to be turned on /off for short periods, so it won't operate the most efficiently due to the TDS creep which will consume DI resin faster. This really is a personal cost vs benefit decision.
Second, you're connecting a never-ending water supply to your tank which is not only a risk to your tank, but your home as well. While we can't eliminate this risk entirely, we can reduce it to the point that most people are willing accept it.
