Today on BRStv, we have another episode of BRS 52 FAQ where we answer all of your frequently asked reefing questions from our popular 52 Weeks of Reefing series. Today we're answering Lisa A’s question “I keep adding more and more calcium and alkalinity and the levels just won’t rise?" It can be common for reefers to come across this at some point, and even though it doesn’t seem like the calcium or alkalinity levels could actually drop by adding more, but it is possible, especially in unbalanced amounts or too large of a dose. In most cases, it is the alkalinity portion that is causing the lowering effect and precipitating out with the calcium. If you are currently having this issue, we have a 4 step program to help correct that and get your tank and dosing regimen balanced again. With BRS 2 Part components you should find that a balanced tank has a 1:1 dose of calcium and alkalinity solutions. So follow along as we answer today's question, provide some helpful insight, and help make reefing just bit more fun and easy for you and your tank. *Legal Stuff* The purpose and content of this video is to provide general information regarding the products and their applications as presented in the video.
