Exceptional Performance

The included Aquatrance 1800s Pinwheel Pump runs quiet and is outfitted with a bubble diffuser to help create a gentle foam and increase contact time. The gate valve knob has scaled markers so you always know exactly where you're at in terms of the foam level inside the body of the skimmer making it easier to fine-tune the rate of collection. 

Unique Design

The eSsence protein skimmer is made using injection molded plastic instead of acrylic and PVC as we see on a majority of other skimmers on the market. This not only makes the skimmer lightweight and easy to handle but also presents the opportunity to customize individual components. It is these design customizations that make the skimmer uniquely special and so attractive. 

Quick Release Clips - One-click clips that secure the skimmer body to the base which makes it super easy to disassemble for cleaning and pump maintenance. 

Molded Based - One-piece plastic base features an easy pump clip and cord cutout with silicone bushing to keep the pump perfectly aligned inside the center of the skimmer body. 

Slim Profile Gate Valve - The integrated gate valve on the outlet pipe doesn't increase the footprint and provides very responsive foam level control.  

Twist-Lock Collection Cup - Locks the collection cup onto the skimmer body with a quarter turn so you're less likely to spill stinky skimmate. 

Hidden Air Silencer - The air silencer is hidden inside the twist-lock cup collar so there are no bulky acrylic brackets to break or get knocked off.
