About Jeff

Jeff Turner has spent almost his entire life immersed in the aquarium design industry. Jeff grew up under the guidance of his father, Joe Turner, the second president of the Florida Marine Aquarium Society. A passion for the new hobby of marine aquarium keeping passed from father to son, and in adulthood, Jeff dedicated his life to the industry.

From working as an aquarium service technician as part of his father’s aquarium shop to operating one of the first commercial live rock collection and wholesale companies, to starting the first commercially successful marine ornamental aquaculture facility, to owning and operating several aquarium-related companies, Jeff has truly seen it all.

Being involved in all aspects of the aquarium industry came naturally, but a love for creating beautiful, large aquarium systems would always remain central. It’s how he was first able to stand out in a crowded industry, and the decades of experience and expertise are on full display in every Reef Aquaria Design project.

Jeff is also the owner of Boyd Enterprises, the family-owned company behind Chemi-Pure, VitaChem, and Chemiclean. Boyd Enterprises has been part of the aquarium industry for more than 60 years, developing specialized products for both freshwater and saltwater aquariums. Along with Boyd Enterprises and Reef Aquaria Design, Jeff also owns Jellyfish Art, giving him a unique perspective that spans aquarium products, livestock, and custom aquarium design.
