Today on BRStv, we have a brand new episode of our series, BRStv Investigates. In this series, we explore popular reefing theories, products, methods, and what the manuals are missing, with a focus on putting them to the test!
Today we are comparing the efficiency of a single membrane versus two membranes, in a couple of different configurations. Reverse Osmosis membranes are capable of producing very clean water, slowly. Many of us have upgraded our RO system to incorporate a secondary membrane, to help increase the output speed of the system. The secondary RO membrane can be installed in a parallel configuration or a series; each has pros and cons of their own.
So follow along as we investigate RO membrane set-ups and provide some helpful insight on how they work, and which one is best for you.
Be sure to watch and keep an eye out for future episodes as keep investigating every from reef myths, logic, and help make reefing a bit more fun and easy for you and your tank!
