Dustin would recommend this product to a friendturns the pellets well but its a pain to get ot out from under the tank for matinance or rffil unless u have some quick disconct.on the screen at the top will clog up,but not for quit some time.mabey u can set up better then I did but its a quality product been running for over a year and no leaks and nothing has broke on it -
Works great By Migity1 on 3/30/13
Migity1 would recommend this product to a friendAfter purchasing this to replace my "old" reactor, that I had to take apart about once a week to clean this is a dream. Never gets clogged and is a snap to disassemble to clean. Couldn't be happier. -
Pretty good. By Jason on 9/30/12
Jason would recommend this product to a friendI bought the BR-110 a couple of months ago. Overall it is great. It was easy to set up and get running, took just a few minutes. The only thing I do not like about it is the built in check valve. I've had a couple small snails get stuck in it and die causing the flow to be greatly reduced.

Which of this Biopellet reactor would be recommend for a 200g reef tank. Thanks
Bulk Reef Supply Hey Hai,
Typically with biopellets you want to run about 1 cup for every 50 gallons of water. So that is 4 cups (a little less then 1000mL) on a tank that size so I would suggest going with the BR-110 :-) -

I was looking at buying a BR-110 Reactor and a mag drive 5 pump as recommended. Iwas wondering what else I would need to get and what was recommended. First i was wondering if I would need to purchase a valve to control the flow going into the reactor for proper tumbling. Also, what size and what type of tubing and connections would I need to connect everything. I would liek to buy everything in one shot instead of finding out I need to order more things to connect everything. Thanks.
Bulk Reef Supply Hey Adam,
Great question. That is a great pump to go with the reactor. There are a couple things you would want to pick up to get everything setup. Aside from the biopellets themselves, you would want to pick up a 1/2" female insert (barb) fitting to adapt the mag drive pump to flexible tubing, and then some 1/2" braided nylon tubing. Something like the 1/2" TLF ball valve would be a really easy way to control the flow.

What size pump would you suggest be used with these reactors?
Bulk Reef Supply Hey Gary,
We would recommend going with a pump towards the top of the recommended flow rates for the reactor to insure you have enough flow (you can always throttle it back if necessary). For the Br-70, BR-110, and BR-140 I would suggest pumps like the Danner Mag Drive 3, Mag Drive 7, and Mag drive 9 respectively.
These Revolutionary Media Reactors have a fluidizing cone bottom design to help keep the bio pellet media in suspension and evenly disperse the water upwards, without restricting the flow through the unit. These advanced reactor units also includes fastening screws on the lid for a sure tight seal and a mesh screen to keep the bio pellets within the reactor without the risk of restricting flow or clogging like other media reactors on the market.
These units come in three different sizes.
