- 1" Large Overflow/Inlet Screen - Barr Aquatic Systems
3D Printed | Reef Safe | Slips Over 1" PVC
Keep snails, fish, or other unwanted critters from entering your aquariums drain or return plumbing. The custom design allows it to slip directly over 1" PVC pipe making it super easy to incorporate into your tanks drain system or onto the inlet of your return pump. Many overflows are attributed to clogged drains, where an animal, algae, or other build-up can cause the flow down the drain to become slow or even stop in some instances. Barr Aquatics Screens are made to be removed with minimal effort from your aquariums plumbing for quick maintenance and to last a lifetime.
- Flat-top eliminates suction vortex
- Easy to maintain
- Slips over 1" PVC
- Works great in overflows

Small - Ideal for standard size return pumps and drains. The small form-factor makes it easy to fit into tight areas.

Large - Perfect for large return pumps or full-length overflow plumbing.
How Do They Connect?
For most uses, just sliding the strainer over your 1" PVC will give a snug fit but if a more permanent solution is required, it is recommended to use aquarium silicone to adhere the Overflow/Inlet Screens to 1" PVC.

Well Made and large surface area By Steve on 1/18/2020Steve would recommend this product to a friendGreat looking unit and by distributing the intake openings over 7 inches that really lessens the suction and likelihood for a aquarium critter to get sucked up against it. Fits 1" PVC just fine. Remember this is an intake screen and will need to be remove regularly for cleaning so if it was a super tight press fit then that would be a struggle,
Does not fit PVC By Zach on 12/12/2018Zach wouldn't recommend this product to a friendSolid construction and attractive, but it doesn't fit on 1" PVC as advertised. It sits extremely loose, such that it would definitely fall off if turned upside down; could easily be pushed off by a large snail or urchin. I'll have to wrap a bunch of plumber's tape on my PVC to get it snug.
Not great as a horizontal surface strainer either, the slats are too narrow and prevent surface skimming.
