My fish love it By Thomas on 7/4/2020Thomas would recommend this product to a friendMy fish go nuts over this, especially the Anemonefish and their larger fry. This is a food with exceptional nutritional value, especially for plankton eaters. Floating is a minor issue and in my experience not as bad as some of the other reviewers describe it.
Great addition to DIY frozen food By Shawn on 3/16/2020Shawn would recommend this product to a friendI have included a jar of this in each of my last 2 batches of home made fish food. Fish love it. Highly recommend this when making your own reef chili
floats and smells BADDDD By Tery on 1/31/2020Tery wouldn't recommend this product to a friendLike others have said, hard to re hydrate. Most just floats on top and goes down the overflow. Its worst quality though is smell. It destroys the area of my house whenever I use it because it just stinks so bad! No negative effects to my tank or anything with the product and tank likes it when I add it but has those 2 qualities I had to point out.
Difficult to use By Jeremiah on 12/5/2019Jeremiah wouldn't recommend this product to a friendI found this product difficult to use as it does not rehydrate very well. A lot of the calanus floats to the surface as soon as you put it in the water column causing it to either sit around on top and getting stuck to the sides of the glass, or it goes down the overflow and stinks up the sump. I've been trying to find help in videos and articles on how best to use this product without many results. I wouldn't recommend it.
Fish will not eat this product By greg on 10/23/2019greg wouldn't recommend this product to a friendI had high hopes for this food. Unfortunately, my fish do not eat it. I have tried everything to get them to eat it, and they refuse. Also, even after you re hydrate the product. It floats on the surface and never sinks. It also leaves a large oil slick on the surface of the water. A total disappointment!
