Xp Aqua's Sumpless ATO - Complete ATO & Surface Skimmer for Sumpless Aquariums

Sumpless ATO is the first and only ATO designed specifically for aquariums without sumps. The combination of the sleek overflow box and the innovative dual-optical sensor ATO will help to keep your aquarium topped off and your water crystal clear.

The overflow box easily mounts to any aquarium with its magnetic mount. It acts as a surface skimmer to rid your aquarium of undesirable oily surface skim and doubles as a media reactor for carbon, GFO or any media of your choice.

XPAqua’s proprietary dual-optical sensor packs two precise level sensors in one incredibly small package. In addition to keeping your water level constant, the two sensors also work in concert with the intelligent QST programming to help prevent overfilling.

With so many features never seen before in ATO’s, the XPAqua Sumpless ATO is the ultimate ATO solution for aquariums without sumps.

Product Questions

Why does it beep every time it runs? I get it that it should beep and turn off if it goes over 30 seconds, but it never runs without beeping.
Question by: Michele on Jul 22, 2022, 3:35 PM
There are a couple reasons the unit would do an audible beep. At the bottom is the manual for the ATO unit as well.

Audible beep and blue and orange led flashing: QST Alarm. 1. Bubble interference or empty reservoir. Resolution: clean the sensor or move to an area away from the microbubbles/refill reservoir.

The other instance is when it first fills the aquarium after installation it will set a time. If the following refills are 6 times that of the initial refill then it will beep letting you know. you may need to recalibrate the initial fill time to stop the alarm.

Could this be used as an AIO filtration means for a quarantine tank? (roughly 20 gallons)
Question by: John Kaplan on May 6, 2019, 10:32 AM
Hey there,
Thanks for reaching out to us. We would recommend a HOB filter for filtration and you can use the Xp Aqua for your ATO in your QT. Happy Reefing!
