- Auqa Gadget Titanium HydroFill ATO Controller - Innovative Marine
Innovative Marine is always offering the latest in aquarium technology. The new Hydrofill titanium ATO controller utilizes conductivity sensors making it a perfect auto top off controller for either fresh or saltwater aquariums. Hauling buckets, and daily refilling are now a thing of the past. Having an auto top off system monitor and control the water level in your aquarium will lead to better stability of water parameters, while giving your more time to enjoy your tank.
- Colored LED indicators
- Rare earth magnetic sensor holders
- Sensors can be placed virtually anywhere
- Titanium Electrodes
- Low Voltage
The Hydrofill Titanium takes advantage of waters conductive properties allowing it to monitor the water level in your aquarium. Two titanium sensors allow you to set your own custom high/low set points preventing cycling like many single sensor top off units. Having the ability to customize the high and low set points makes the Hydrofill Titanium great for almost any size tank or sump.

It Will Fail By Ricky on 8/22/2019Ricky wouldn't recommend this product to a friendI have used this ATO for about 6 months. After only 2 months of use, the sensors failed. Innovative Marine sent me two new ones. After another few weeks, it failed again and I had to reset the unit, only to have it fail again 3 days later.
On top of that, Innovative Marine requires pictures and videos of every failure, which inevitably makes you feel like they believe you to be a liar.
I'm ordering a Tunze or Neptume ATO, which I should've done in the first place, and will take great pleasure in destroying this one with a hammer, or propane torch, or blender, not sure on the method yet.
Save yourself a headache and do not purchase this product.
Perfect for ATO By Barrett (OK) on 5/28/2019Barrett (OK) would recommend this product to a friendI've used Tunze 3155 for years. I have this running to my 55 Gal ATO container with a BRS 50/ml pump and it's perfect. Amazing yet simple idea to add a 3 prong plug for any type of pump you want and and it supports up to a 1000W pump. Seriously awesome.
Awesome By CR on 3/3/2019CR would recommend this product to a friendI've had mine running for 3 years now, not one issue. Ignore the review that's complaining about it not working with RO/DI water because...duh...they are conductivity sensors.
Amazingly Easy By Tom on 2/21/2019Tom would recommend this product to a friendI purchased this ATO after several weeks of research. I didn't need something complex, just simply top off my sump, and this unit does EXACTLY that. I had it installed and running in less than 5 minutes. Works perfectly, can't believe I went this long without an ATO unit
No Nightmares By ReeferReborn on 1/27/2019ReeferReborn would recommend this product to a friendThis system works great in marine aquariums. Very seldom does it stop functioning properly. It has never over or underfilled my aquarium. The failure seems to come every once in a while it will repeatedly go on/off on the fill cycle and using an aqualifer at its max head height the pump doesn't really get to pumping any water. The ON/OFF clicking sound is noticeable so I become aware when it is happening. If I were using a more powerful pump this could be a potential problem. My remedy for this is shut it off and clean with fingernail and tooth brush the small electrodes then put them back and turn on the unit. So far this has worked and it only happens every few months. If I were using a faster more powerful pump perhaps it would fill every time it clicked on/off or maybe it would stop once it got filled, Not sure but If you do routine maintenance of the electrode every 2 weeks (takes about a minute) this ATO is the best!
Works great! By Evan on 1/18/2019Evan wouldn't recommend this product to a friendIn regards to the few negative reviews posted about issues with straight RO/DI water. This ATO uses conductivity sensors so will not work well with ultra pure RO/DI water as it has very low conductivity. Give it a try on a system with real fresh or salt water and it'll work great ;)
Failed within a week By Andrei on 1/7/2019Andrei wouldn't recommend this product to a friendGot this ato a week ago and put it in a nuvo fusion 20 that’s just running with ro/di water with nothing else in the tank to test equipment. Using the aqua lifter pump. Within a week this system failed 3 times. Twice the water level dropped well below both sensors (2” below lower sensor, 3” below upper) and the controller was flashing between low and level. Did not attempt to even turn on the pump. Both times I took out the sensors, dried them (no reason to clean, it’s just ro/di water in there) and put them back in to a slightly different spot in the return chamber.
Once it started filling and didn’t stop. I’m using a 2L top off container and it ran the entire thing into the tank.
I would absolutely not recommend this to anyone. Thank god I decided to do an equipment test run and didn’t throw this on a running system.
Way better than the old one By Thebagman on 12/2/2018Thebagman would recommend this product to a friendI have had both of their auto top off.
the old style one did not work at all had all kinds of problems with it,
the new one works like a champion, just like everything else you have to maintain it and clean the probes.
way better device then before
works alright but requires cleaning the probes for optimal performance By tom on 11/4/2018tom would recommend this product to a friendIve been using 2 of these on 2 different systems. the only problem ive had with this is the sensors not sensing the water every once in a while. If kept clean, which entail wiping/ cleaning off the probes every couple weeks to a month, other than that, its worked well, and with the "IM" pump, a good ato system for the price.
Great ATO By Lucas on 10/28/2018Lucas would recommend this product to a friendFor the price you can't get any better. Like most people said previous, whipe the probes from time to time. Almost a year with this product and am extremely satisfied.
Not Dependable By Jason on 10/25/2018Jason wouldn't recommend this product to a friendWorked great for about 3 months. Now it doesn't work at all. The sensors don't sense the water level any more.
Not for use on RODI By Paul on 6/24/2018Paul would recommend this product to a friendWhile the unit does state that it is for fresh or saltwater, I can definitively state that it does NOT work with RODI water. This was to be used as an auto top off for my inside 5 gal RODI reservoir to have it fill automatically from my 35 gal vat. The contacts do not work if your TDS is "0". It works fine in saltwater or tap water but does not work in RODI... Sure wished that was disclosed. So I would give it less stars but it does work but there is that caveat.
Is there a recommended pump for this system?
You can use almost any pump that suits your ATO needs like the Aqua Lifter, BRS 50mL doser or any utility pump, however we would recommend matching the Hydrofill Titanium ATO controller with the Titanium HydroFill ATO Pump.
Hi. What happens if the upper sensor fails for some reason? Will it just keep trying to fill?
Would the Cobalt MJ400 work for this?
What are you thoughts about cleaning the probes with distilled vinegar?
What's the difference between the titanium model and the previous version?
The New titanium will use more affordable titanium designed probes which are easier to manufacturer. The design and performance will be the same between the units.
