  • WORKS WELL By blabay on 10/14/2017

Magnet is SUPER strong. Have not used the metal scrapper yet as I haven't needed to.
Still running a freshwater system but hope to convert to reef soon!
  • Great Glass Cleaner By Kaleb on 6/11/2017

This thing is amazing at cleaning the glass! Very very strong! Like others have said it doesn't float and that can be annoying. I have left mine in the water for months and nothing seemed to happen other then maybe became not as strong so just don't keep in in the water. No one wan't that in there display anyways. I would and will buy it again when needed.
  • Love it, wish it floated By David on 6/7/2017

I love this thing, but I do wish it floated. That's not Tunze's fault, though- that patent doesn't expire for a couple more years. The way it's designed, the blade is the only thing touching the glass on the inside, and felt pads on the outside. The felt pads do get squished out over time if you leave it on your glass, but you can easily re-glue them - again, not really Tunze's fault and more the nature of textiles and glues. Now, some of you are thinking 'Oh my! You can't leave it on there! It'll trap sand and you'll end up scratching your glass!' Nope! Because everything but the blade is riding off of the glass, sand doesn't get trapped, it just falls off. You can even get in down into the sand bed without worrying about scratches. I can clean the front glass on my 125g in only a minute or two, it turned a huge chore into no big deal. Couldn't be happier.
  • Meh By Eddie on 5/27/2017

Cleans very well. Definaetly keeps sandand rocks away from glass. However, Stayed in tank for a few weeks and magnet swelled up big time. Otherwise good product. Yes it doesn't float but not a big deal for me if it wasn't for now a rust magnet I'm afraid. To put in tank.
  • Decent, not Just not Tunze perfect By Join the Revolution on 1/22/2017

    3.5 stars actually.
I have been using this product exclusively since its release. When new, the heads tend to fall off.
I removed the blue outside piece since it only ended up falling off from time to time.
Also, and this is the BAD part, if the plastic blades develop nicks, they will cut into your seals and damage them- like what happened to me. So keep those blades on film algae only. Hard a coraline use a metal scraper not plastic! If the blades are damaged replace them!
  • Buy something else By Shiloh G on 11/9/2016

I've been using the Tunze long for about 6+ months. It is great at getting coralline off the glass. However unless you like to fish things out of your tank, don't buy it!! My glass is in the range where the long was suppose work. When cleaning it randomly flys off the glass and you have to fish it out. Today was the last time thought, it flew off and damaged one of my favorite corals. It's going in the trash today
  • Works Great By Rudyent on 9/22/2016

The only thing bad about this is that it doesn't float. And if you have a tall tank it is hard to get it back. As for the rest I love the fact that it can't catch any gravel so it can't scratch your glass. So I like using it to get below the gravel line to clean without worry. And it works great. The blade removes coraline algae easy and fast.
