Adding a traditional inline chiller can quickly become an overwhelming plumbing project. The TECO DI-2000 takes a totally different and simpler approach: its titanium cooling coil sits directly in your sump, removing heat without sending aquarium water through an external cooling loop. Position the coil and temperature probe, connect power, and set your desired temperature.

No chiller inlet and outlet hoses to route. No feed pump to connect. No changes to your existing filtration plumbing. The drop-in design removes those installation steps that can make an aquarist cringe. It's especially useful for established aquariums where adding a chiller can otherwise mean completely redoing the plumbing setup.

Efficient R290 Refrigeration

The DI-2000 uses R290 refrigerant to deliver efficient cooling with a lower environmental impact. TECO reports a 30%-50% reduction in energy consumption compared with traditional compressor technology, helping reduce the ongoing electricity demands of aquarium cooling. R290 also has a very low Global Warming Potential, giving it an environmental advantage over many conventional refrigerants.

Titanium Cooling & Direct Temperature Monitoring

The titanium heat exchanger is corrosion-resistant, meaning that it's safe for both freshwater and saltwater applications. A separate external probe monitors water temperature, while the onboard controls allow you to adjust the temperature set point in your choice of Fahrenheit or Celsius.
