- Smart Buddie RO/DI Booster Pump - Aquatic Life
Increase the effectiveness of your RO system, and Reduce waste water by up to 65%!
Reverse osmosis booster pumps can easily increase the pressure going into your RO or RO/DI system if your starting pressure is low. Reverse osmosis is a pressure-driven process. Small residential RO units will theoretically operate below 50psi, but the reality is you won't get a lot of water and the product water quality may be compromised if the unit runs below 45 psi. RO units typically run well on municipal water pressure of 60 psi, but they run even better with a small pump to boost the pressure to 80 psi or slightly higher. This will increase efficiency as well as the rate of production, and can also potentially decrease consumption of DI resin. Get maximum output and the best quality filtered water from your RO system!
The Smart Buddie is designed to work with most RO and RO/DI units rated between 50 and 100 gallons per day. The Smart Buddie booster pump is quiet, easy to install, and can significantly increase water output. Not only does the Smart Buddie increase pressure, but it has an integrated auto-flush valve and safety pressure switches, simplifying and automating your RO/DI production process.

Do not work with water saver system By Shao on 8/4/2020Shao wouldn't recommend this product to a friendThis booster works fine with 100 GPD system. But it is unable to keep up with the pressure after I upgraded it to the water saver dual membrane configuration. It can't catch up with the flow rate. My water's PSI is at 65. With this booster, the production rate gets from 120 GPD to 160 GPD. With water saver upgrade, with booster, it goes to 265 GPD. Without this booster it goes up to 288 GPD. All configuration produce 2 tds water.
Given the water saver upgrade is half the price of this booster, and use no electricity, it's the better upgrade than this booster pump.
Buy now and dont look back By Fred on 7/21/2020Fred would recommend this product to a friendif your RODI system is under 100 gallons per day you whould be a fool not to buy this upgrade. It Pretty much does everything you need right out of the box. The biggesst concern I had was that my apartment complex has great water pressure 35 psi and my LFS said to becareful about increasing the pressure because it might damage you DI filter. This has a check valve thats prevents over pressuization of your system. This is great for me as all i really needed was the auto flush feature because my TDS is only 128 on average (but who cannot do with a more effecient RODI system). YEAH this takes all the fun out of the other upgrade kits out there... just connect the hoses and your done. As for longevity thats an unknown for me I only had mine a few weeks but love it.
Better than expected By Curtis on 7/3/2020Curtis would recommend this product to a friendBetter than expected. This is a plug and play booster pump. Very simple to use. What used to take all night to fill my trashcan with water now only takes six hours. My DI resin Now last four times longer than before. This thing is whisper quiet.
Perfect booster By Frankie on 6/5/2020Frankie would recommend this product to a friendEasy to install, output doubled, auto flush a bonus.
Perfect Solution To Needing a Booster By Dave on 5/27/2020Dave would recommend this product to a friendThis is a great tool. It does everything you need from a booster. I've had mine for two years and is perfect every time.
Amazing By Chad on 5/27/2020Chad would recommend this product to a friendBest purchase ever. My Water output probably doubles. It's amazing.
I have a 3 stage RO/DI filter from you guys. I get about 43lbs. pressure from the house at the unit. There is about 12 gallons of waste for a 5 gallon clean bucket.
Is it worth me installing one of these? My friend gave me one to use, I just don't know if it will save me that much.
It will 100% be worth it to use, the pressure should be 55-60 for optimal performance. You will get a much better rejection to product ratio of you improve that pressure.
