The GHL Propeller Breeze 3 offers a low-profile cooling solution for your reef without the cost or complication of implementing a chiller. For situations where you just need to bring down temps a little bit, such as during the day when lights are running over the tank, air cooling can be an economical option. By increasing air flow over the surface of the water, you can take advantage of evaporative cooling and often drop the temperature of the aquarium by as much as a couple of degrees.

The Propeller Breeze fans are made from the highest quality materials and feature brushless 85 mm fans operating on ball bearings for nearly silent operation. The Propeller Breeze 3 can be used as a standalone fan or controlled by a ProfiLux controller via the PropellerControl accessory. When connected to the Profilux with the PropellerControl via 1-10V, the fans can be programmed to automatically ramp up / down based on your desired temperature.

  • Near silent 85 mm fans
  • High airflow
  • Quality materials for long service life

Product Questions

Will the fans tilt backwards? I have a lip on the edge of my tank and would need to mount horizontally and tilt back / up. Is this possible?
Question by: Darwin on Feb 25, 2023, 10:37 PM
Yes, this fan can tilt forward and backwards.

Can I attach this fan to the top black piece in the back of the tank on a E170 Red Sea aquarium? This is the piece that folds forward to allow work to be done to the back where the return pump and skimmer are located. If this will work, how do you know which to buy the 2 fan or 3 fan set up for a 60 gallon system. Thanks, Brian

THanks for the question! These are compatible wil most tanks that do not have a pre-existing lid
Answer by: James Johnson (BRS Staff) on Feb 16, 2023, 3:12 PM
I was wondering if this will still work with a screen lid.
Question by: Elliot Faain on Jul 29, 2022, 7:47 PM
Thanks for the question! This will work with a screen top, you'll just need to ensure there is a cut out for mounting the fan. Let us know if we can help with anything else!

Will this attach to a tank with a plastic rim? or does it only attach to a rimless tank? will it help with pH levels?
thank you
Question by: kim on Apr 5, 2022, 5:04 PM
Hey there,
Thank you for reaching out to us. It will attach to any tank under .8" rim. The fans blow fresh air over the water's surface, causing excess CO2 to leave the aquarium's water and O2 to enter. This helps keep pH elevated and the water oxygenated.

Please let me know if you need anything further and take care!

I want to control this with the Apex. What, in addition to the fan, would I need to purchase to make this controllable through the Apex 0-10v port?
Question by: Paul on Feb 23, 2022, 8:25 PM
Hey Paul, Thanks for the question! Along with the fan you would need to get the Propeller Control (SKU 213883). See link below for recommendations. https://forum.neptunesystems.com/showthread.php?19137-change-fanspeed-to-the-temperature
