I am looking to purchase a digital pH meter. I do not have a controller. The Milwaukee mw101 with battery meter that you have listed in your site is quite nice, but in the instruction manual it says that the probe should be stored with a storage fluid. This storage fluid does not come with the unit. Do you have other units that do not need this storage fluid, or can you recommend where I can get this storage fluid?
Pretty much all probes need to be stored in a storage solution if there out of the tank (don't want them to dry out). You can find the storage solution right here:
Can I use this to test my RO/DI water as well as my tank? do you sell the storage solution? I would only use this for spot checks as I already have a continuous PH meter in my tank.
It would work perfectly fine for that, though I wouldn't suggest measuring the pH of your RO/DI water. RO/DI water has almost no resistance to change in pH so the pH will change quickly and often and is largely depending on the amount of CO2 in the air around the water storage tank. It will change quickly to normal range of pH of your tank when you add all the salt. Probe storage solution can be found right here:
