Magnets rust out in only a few months By Don on 10/26/2019
Don wouldn't recommend this product to a friendMagnets started to corrode and rust within a few months. Made of very weak, thin, lowest-grade dollar store like plastic. Don't waste your money on this product! -
The magnet rusts By Paolo on 1/6/2019
Paolo wouldn't recommend this product to a friendThis thing broke on me twice. I don't use it all the times and i don't keep it inside my tank. After I purchased the magnet rusted (its not sealed properly)after only a few months. Innovative Marine replaced free of charge, but i was skeptical because the material is cheap. After a few months, the magnet was rusted again. I am not going to bother getting exchanged because i won't use it anymore. -

Great idea, poor quality By Chris on 10/15/2018
Chris wouldn't recommend this product to a friendAs others have experienced the magnet adhesive brakes and magnet comes loose.
only lasted a couple of months, disappointing. -
Seems to work well By Richard on 8/26/2018
Richard would recommend this product to a friendIt seems to be doing its job. Have read comments on the plastic and magnet issues. I believe the manufacture can try to implement something similar to the magnet system on the powerheads. -
not worth it By david on 6/18/2018
david wouldn't recommend this product to a friendLooks nice, but that's about it. Plastic is weak, too thin, or a low grade, whatever it is, it will break around the magnet eventually. Will be a toss up on if magnets rust through first or plastic breaks.
I contacted IM directly about a replacement after it broke, and they told me where i can buy another one. Probably last product i buy from them -
Needs work By Derrick on 4/1/2018
Derrick would recommend this product to a friendGreat item but as others have said magnets they used junk the plastic that holds them in on mine was cracked when I got it but still works great with fixing that part -
Works as advertized, so far By Thom on 3/30/2018
Thom would recommend this product to a friendWorks as advertised. So far seems to stay put, distribute the thawed food and be fine. Had it in the tank about a week or so. Don't mind the high price too much haha , but wish had found it on sale. -
Update on this product By richard on 2/26/2018
richard would recommend this product to a friendI purchased this a few months ago no issues but I was concerned the company was getting a bad wrap because of the magnets. So I spoke with a rep all magnets that are defective even if out of warranty they will replace they have since changed the material they use to seal the magnet and recommend when removed from the tank put card board between the two magnets because it damages the material and could possibly make it leak .. But so far so good and I have both feeders .. -
Great idea, poor planning By Regany on 2/25/2018
Regany wouldn't recommend this product to a friendIs a neat concept and if you change the flaws will be a great product. Bad magnets, and horrible design for tanks with eurobrace. -

Magnet rusted By Jason on 9/24/2017
Jason wouldn't recommend this product to a friendWhile I like the concept and with enough flow in the tank it works very well. However, the first one I purchased the magnet started to rust after 3 months. I purchased a second one and after about 6 months of very limited use it had the same issue.
I have a rimmed tank and the rim is 5/8 inch and the water line is 3/4 inches below the water line. Will this fit in my tank?
Question posted on Feb 17, 2018 4:14:00 PM
This would work just fine and sit below the rim of the tank.

Can you tell me the GourmetDefroster's dimensions? Many thanks!
Question posted on Jun 11, 2015 12:27:00 PM
Great Question!
The height is 4", the diameter of the defroster is 2.5" and the diameter with the small magnetic stand will increase the size to 3".

Up to what size glass will this work with?
Question posted on Jun 11, 2015 1:00:00 PM
Great Question,
This defroster will work well on even the largest tanks, Innovative Marine has recommended its use on tanks at least up to 15 mm or .59"

Would it be a problem to leave this in the tank?
Question posted on Apr 21, 2016 7:55:00 PM
Great question!
We leave ours in the tank all the time! We do take it out and clean it quite often as a result. Feel free to let us know if you have any further questions!
