For anyone serious about producing quality RO/DI water for their reef tanks, AutoAqua now has four great TDS meter options built on a compact, feature-rich, and easy to install platform! BRS recommends using a TDS meter as one of the most useful tools for ensuring your RO or RO/DI system is functioning at its best. A TDS meter can not only provide peace of mind in monitoring your final product water, but it can also clue you in to when it's time to replace filter media. The Titanium S3 model features three remote TDS probes and cords, along with a magnetic display that makes for easy installation on the metal frame common on most RO and RO/DI systems. This allows for readings at three locations in the system, such as the source line feeding the system, after the RO membrane and finally after the DI resin stage, allowing for monitoring at all major water quality locations.
The Titanium series of TDS meters from AutoAqua are the smallest inline TDS meter in the hobby, making it very easy to find a spot to mount the display, and as the name would suggest, the TDS probes have titanium conductors, which provide great longevity and protection from corrosion. In addition, each Titanium TDS meter features a big backlit LCD display that activates with a single button push, giving you quick access to water quality readings. They also include push-connect union tees with each meter for fast and simple installation on your system lines.
To conserve battery life, the unit will turn off automatically after 3 minutes when not in use. They use a common CR2032 lithium battery so when it comes time to change it, you should have no problem finding a replacement. Under normal use, the battery should last a year or more! There is also a low battery indicator on the display so you’ll never be left high and dry.
