- Multiple installation options
- Automatic advance of dirty fleece
- Multi-function smart controller
- End of roll audible alarm
- Filter jam/float error/water depth alarm
- Phosphate free fleece material
- Special low-odor fleece material

By allowing the water from your aquariums overflow to drain into the ClariSea you can trap and effectively remove detritus and other foreign particulates from your water without having to ever change a filter sock again. Utilizing a sensor to know when the fleece is starting to clog, the ClariSea will automatically advance the fleece ahead allowing clean fleece to trap more particulates. Removing the old fleece rolls only takes a minute and will only need to be maintained once every couple of months, which may vary depending on your specific aquarium.

Excellent product but is a bit tricky to set up properly By Christopher on 6/15/2020Christopher would recommend this product to a friendI set up this up in my sump for a 200g reef tank about 3 months ago, It is outstanding the water is noticeable clearer with few fine particulates in the water column and I love not having to change filter socks (I go through filter rolls about every 2 months it seems). The initial set up for it is a bit of a pain it took me about 2 hours (I had to back track once or twice). Maintenance on it is fairly straight forward, but I have noticed that can be finicky when attaching the filter roll to the roller if it pulls even slightly to one side or another when it winds after a few days you will come down every 24hrs to the alarm going off because the roller can generate enough torque to advance the roll. So you have to go back in and reattach the roll.
Overall the product is excellent once setup correctly, just pay attention to the details in assembly and changing of the filter roll.
Awesome By Brian on 4/20/2020Brian would recommend this product to a friendBeen running the Clarisea for 2 months now and has been working great. I run mine totally out of the water. The higher the better. My first roller filter and so happy to be done with socks.
DIY kit By Torben on 4/15/2020Torben wouldn't recommend this product to a friendGreat concept BUT:
- XL roll increases torque until controller goes on error
- Motor cable easily damaged by pinching on the frame
- Rim Bracket doesn't hold
Love it! By Michael on 11/18/2019Michael would recommend this product to a friendWorks fantastic. Note that the inlet connection is 1", not the 32mm as specified in the product description. BRS was notified of the incorrect information over 6 weeks ago.
Works great! By Ryan on 11/2/2019Ryan would recommend this product to a friendInstalled easily in my trigger sump. Assembly is comparable to Ikea furniture. The video instructions are easier to follow than the manual which is just pictures. Filters really well. I only see a few tiny specs floating around now. The used paper is dark brown and it's great to see that being removed. The roll can be tricky to change but can be done simply without getting your hands in the water which is great. The included roll, which was not one of the new XL rolls by the way, lasted me about 7 weeks. Highly recommended over socks. I always found myself waiting until they were overflowing before changing them.
It amazing By Jason on 9/5/2019Jason would recommend this product to a friendI installed this in my Red Sea 750XXL ...IT is by far the best money you could spend on your system... it works Flawlessly ...I thought my water was clear before I installed this but now all I can say is Amazing ....do your self a favor and pick one up ! you will never regret It..
Sump Compatibility By Billy on 4/29/2019Billy would recommend this product to a friendForgot to mention that my sump is the Trigger Systems Sapphire 39.
Sump Compatibility By Billy on 4/29/2019Billy would recommend this product to a friendJust a heads up for trigger system sump owners interested in the clarisea fleece rollers. I contacted BRS to ask if they knew whether or not the clarisea's mounting brackets would fit over the eurobrace design used by trigger systems. They stated that the brackets would only fit up to a 1/2" width and would not mount on the sump brace. After closely scrutinizing videos on the clarisea, I was confident that the brackets were wide enough to fit over the eurobracing. I took the gamble and ordered the clarisea and I'm glad to inform the group that the brackets do in fact, fit over the eurobracing. Hope this helps someone else who was contemplating the same.
Clarisea should update their assembly video to reflect the product in it's current version. The assembly video shows the need to use an o-ring on the pipe assembly. My unit had a slightly different pipe design that did not fit the o-ring size. Other than that, the assembly video made putting this thing together relatively easy. Included pictorial directions are useless.
Haven't run the unit yet, just wanted to pass the info on sump compatibility so I'm just putting 4 stars, because I have to rate it to submit the review.
Necessary piece of hardware! By Hulley on 3/3/2019Hulley would recommend this product to a friendI've had the SK-5000 on my Red Sea 350 for about 4 months and it has been awesome! Water is so clean, a roll will last me over a month, I don't even run a skimmer, however I plan on adding a skimmer for the other benefits. I consider this a necessary component now.
Amazing By Mike on 2/23/2019Mike would recommend this product to a friendThis thing gets the job done.makes the water sparkle
Great, few tweaks By Ryan on 2/22/2019Ryan would recommend this product to a friendI've been using this for the better part of a year with great overall success. Is the product perfect? No definitely not. All these types of products are so new it's impossible not to be flawed IMO.
However, for the safety features, slim profile and high flow it's hard to do better until they come out with a gen 3.
I currently run a 1" pipe wide open on it without restriction and it handles it fine. Noise is very minimal if you adjust how deep in the water you place it... few inches. An adjustable pvc pipe makes it easier to adjust height and service... no need to hard plumb it.
Placing it on one of my 3 drains has been more then sufficient at reducing my overall nutrient levels. Pretty sure I'd be broke if I had three.
The rolls are not very long so they last about a month give or take your flow and level of general scum. Other brands offer notably longer/wider rolls and seems to last much longer but also have less flow.
If your clearance above your sump is too narrow it is "possible" to build it while in the sump.
Works better than expected By Rick on 2/19/2019Rick would recommend this product to a friendAs someone who is generally skeptical of the claims often given to products I have to say that I am pleasantly surprised with this one. I got rid of my filter sox as unless cleaned almost daily they just seem do more harm than good. Problem is that the result of running my system "sockless" is that detritus builds up in the sump and the water column has a lot of particles in it. Putting the filter together took about an hour and plumbing it in 1 of the 2 outlets another 30 minutes. The end result is noticeably cleaner water that sort of has a polished look to it even though I still have one drain into the sump without a sock. 5 stars for Clarisea.
I want to ensure that I can connect this to my return line plumbing. What is the size (diameter) of the elbow that receives the return line water?
The inlet has a fitting size of 32mm.
Are roller mats sized per estimated tank size or flow rate? Is there a max tank size estimated for them?
They are rated by the max flow each can handle, you would just base the size needed off your return pump.
