Ozone Equipment

Ozone equipment is used in saltwater aquariums to achieve exceptionally clear water and eliminate unwanted odors. By oxidizing dissolved organic compounds and yellowing agents, ozone makes your water look nearly invisible while reducing that “fishy” smell that can pop up from time to time.

Ozone is typically introduced through an ozone-ready protein skimmer where it reacts with organics before the water returns to the display. When used correctly and paired with carbon to remove any residual gas, ozone can dramatically improve water clarity, enhance light penetration for corals, and create a cleaner environment.
