Trigger Systems spent over a year and a half refining the Platinum series to ensure it delivers reliable and efficient filtration. Each sump features an automated fleece roller system that replaces traditional filter socks, with rolls lasting months. Many users have seen improved water clarity, with some reporting a noticeable reduction in algae.

The fleece advances automatically as it becomes dirty, and the diamond-pattern flow design maximizes surface area for better performance. The system handles flow rates up to 3,000 GPH without issue. A high-torque motor prevents overheating, and a backup shutoff sensor stops the roll when the return pump is off. Wire channels keep the setup clean, and on most models, the center wall is removable for a flexible layout.

All Platinum sumps now include the upgraded Motor Controller V2. This new controller offers advanced functionality and user-friendly controls to make fleece roller management easier than ever. Key features include:

• A digital display showing fleece life, motor activity, and mode status
• Two operation modes: sensor-based or timer-based
• Three optical sensors, including two configurable backups for added safety
• Alarm notifications when connected to an aquarium controller, such as extended motor run time or sensor triggers
• Side-mounted buttons for navigating settings and activating the motor manually
