There is No Faster Way To Turn Bare Rock Into Beautiful Pink & Purple Coralline Encrusted Live Rock!

ARC Reef's Bottled Purple & Pink Coralline Algae is a truly unique product that contains multiple species of live coralline algae spores and nitrifying bacteria in a single solution. Unlike many other coralline algae accelerators that are mostly just calcium and other elements, ARC Reef's bottled coralline algae contains live algae that will populate on your reef tank's surfaces to create a vibrant pink crust over your rocks. Coralline algae has multiple beneficial effects for your saltwater aquarium, from discouraging nuisance algae growth to providing a habitat for beneficial bacteria and other microscopic creatures. Pairing Pink Fusion Coralline Algae with Purple Helix will give your tank a very natural coralline algae look much quicker than any other method.

We recommend using 8oz of Pink Fusion & Purple Helix Coralline Algae per 50 Gallons

  • Unique 2 in 1 formula contains both live coralline algae spores and active nitrifying bacteria.
  • Every bottle includes a minimum of 6 separate species of coralline, all with color variations of pink & purple that will populate throughout your tank.
  • Effective in improving water quality by controlling ammonia and nitrite levels.
  • Aids in rapidly establishing your tanks biological filtration using fresh multi-strain bacteria bottled on the day that it is shipped.
  • Highest concentration of beneficial nitrifying bacteria which remove harmful nitrogenous waste.
  • Helps cycle new fish tanks and eliminate new tank syndrome.
  • Safe for use in all reef tanks and with all species of fish and coral.
  • Establishes a natural organic balance in your aquarium.
  • 100% all natural formula. No sulfur, copper, or phosphates.

Special Note - Bottled Coralline Algae from ARC Reef is bottled fresh and never sits on a shelf for more than a couple of days, at the most. Since it is a live substance, it is necessary to use the contents as soon as possible with a maximum of 14 days of the bottling date, which can be found on the side of the bottle.

Instructions:

Use when setting up a new aquarium, when adding new rock or substrate to your tank, and to boost the color and diversity of existing live rock.
Entire contents must be used by the expiration date printed on the bottle. Every order is bottled on the same date that it ships.

For saltwater use only.

1 8oz. bottle treats up to 50 gallons. If your tank is more than 50 gallons it is recommended to use 1 bottle for every 50 gallons of tank volume. You cannot overdose your tank with this product.

Most reefers will start to see colored spots appear within a couple of weeks however it can take up to 3 months before effects can start to be seen. Coralline algae does not grow super fast and patience is a virtue when it comes to any saltwater aquarium, but making sure that your tank parameters are in the correct ranges and steady can help accelerate the growth (see tips below).

PRO TIPS FOR FAST GROWTH!

Raise your Temperature. Coralline algae grows very slowly, its growth rate is approximately 10x’s more rapid in tropical waters than in the Arctic. If the temperature of your tank is below 78 °F. then increase the temperature to 78-82 °F. this will increase the reproductive growth rate by nearly 15% Make sure to keep the temperature stable with a heater controller.

Aquatic Life Loves Stability and so Does Coralline Algae. You must keep your water parameters stable through regular monitoring and water testing. Smaller more frequent water changes are preferred over larger less often water changes, this helps eliminate any shock to the spores. Salinity and PH are the 2 most important parameters to keep stable.

More Frequent Water Changes. You should be doing regular water changes at least twice monthly. Nearly every problem can be fixed with a water change. High nitrates? Water change! Cloudy water? Water change! Nuisance algae? Water change! Got ick? Water Change! Are corals shriveling up? Water change! Spending all your money on corals? Ok, well that’s one that a water change can’t fix but for nearly everything else, a partial water change will fix, or at least give you more time to find the problem. Your aquarium is a closed system and can easily be put off balance.

Have Patience. If you’re new to the hobby this tip will save your hard-earned cash from being flushed down the drain. Only bad things happen overnight in this hobby. Add livestock slowly and never change anything quickly. It’s best to think of your aquarium like a very old man, it doesn’t adapt well to change (and at times can smell like an old sock!).

Thank You
Question by: Ed Mathis on Nov 30, 2021, 10:45 AM

Answer by: William Glenn (BRS Staff) on Dec 14, 2021, 8:39 AM
Can this be added at the beginning of a tank cycle or wait until the nitrogen cycle is complete?
Question by: Eric on Jul 24, 2020, 5:08 PM
Great question! We would recommend waiting until your cycle is complete to use it. This way you can have the lights off in the tank to prevent algae from growing during your cycle.
