Months of Maintenance-Free Filtration!

Klir Di-7 Filter Drop-In Fleece Filter System fits in most sumps with a 7" filter sock tray and will eliminate the need to replace filter socks. The 50-micron fleece roll will help eliminate free-floating particles and automatically advance when the fleece starts to clog, exposing new fleece. The Di-7 has the capability of handling up to 1800 GPH and producing crystal clear water.

Maximum Flow Rate - 1800 GPH

  • Fits in tight areas
  • Compatible with most 7" filter sock holes
  • Includes 50 yards of 50-micron fleece
  • Fully automatic with smart controller
  • Removable lid with carbon insert for noise and odor control
  • Multiple units can be placed side-by-side

Traditionally filter socks have been used to polish aquarium water from particulates and detritus, and now with the Klir Di-7 Drop-In Fleece Filter System, you can throw away your filter socks for good! The Klir Di-7 can hold up to 50 yards of 50-micron fleece allowing it to last for months at a time without having to be maintained in any way. The compact design lets it fit in tight spaces, and since you only need to access it once every few weeks or months, having direct access like filter socks in no longer a concern. Some tanks may need to replace the fleece once every couple months where others may need to replace it more often, and that will depend on your bio-load along with feeding habits and a few other variables, but in most cases, a single fleece roll can last up to 3 months without having to be replaced.

How the DI-7 Works

Water will be able to enter the Klir Di-7 from two sides and then travel down to the bottom where it can be pushed through the fleece material, where any particles will be collected. Over time the debris collected will start to clog the fleece tower and the water level will start to rise in the sock tray, and that is where the optical eye sensor comes into play. Once the water level reaches the eye, the Klir will automatically activate the roller, exposing new fleece and allowing water to flow freely again, dropping the water level below the sensor.

Product Questions

Would this fit in a Red Sea Reefer xxl625 sump? Would it require much modification to the sump?
Question by: Michael Patton on Sep 4, 2020, 9:11 PM
Hey there,
Thank you for reaching out to us! Red Sea uses a filter sock size closer to 4" and this would not fit.

Please let me know if you need anything further and take care!

So I wash and reuse filter socks. What do you do with the fleece roll after it is used up? Can it be washed and reused?
Question by: Mark on Feb 1, 2019, 10:18 PM
That is a great question. The exhausted fleece rolls are not meant to be reused. Each roll of fleece boasts an impressive quantity of filtering material and provides months of service. Replacement rolls are economical and easy to replace. I hope this is helpful! Have a great day :)

Would this fit on a Nuvo fusion 20 AIO?
Question by: Edgar on Jan 31, 2019, 9:38 PM
That's a great question. Unfortunately the Di-7 Drop in Fleece system would not fit in the back chamber of the Nuvo 20 Fusion. The Nuvo's back chamber only allows for just under 4" of wiggle room for equipment. The Di-7's dimensions are - 6.875" L x 6" W. The Klir drop in fleece filter systems are designed more for use within a sump. I hope this is helpful! Have a great day :)
