Flux Rx is an extremely safe and effective aquarium treatment and can even be used in reef aquariums with corals present. It should be noted that if you have bryopsis or green hair algae present in your aquarium, fluconazole can cause rapid death of these algae species as a side effect. Hair algae can bind significant amounts of nutrients in their tissue, and if they begin to die, they will release these nutrients, including nitrate and phosphate, back into your aquarium, so you should be prepared to perform water changes and take other action to maintain water quality.

Available in Three Sizes

  • 100 gallon (2,000 mg)
  • 200 gallon (4,000 mg)
  • 350 gallon (7,000 mg)

How to Use

Note: When dosing, large scoop (1cc) should be level and small scoop (0.15cc) rounded/generous. Turn off skimmer and discontinue using activated carbon and phosphate remover for 72 hours. Skimming may be resumed after 72 hours, but all other chemical filtration should be removed during treatment. Turn off UV sterilizers for the duration of treatment. Filter socks are recommended to aid in cleaning the aquarium. Do not use if you have macroalgae or a refugium. Allow 10 to 14 days for results.

  • Add 1 level large scoop of powder per 25 US gallons, or 1 rounded small scoop per 5 US gallons. Dose powder to a high flow area of the aquarium and allow to disperse throughout the display with the current.
  • Allow 10 to 14 days for results.
  • After treatment, we recommend a series of water changes to restore water quality and remove residual medication. Add fresh activated carbon to filtration.

Warning: This product is not intended for human consumption. Keep out of reach of children. If ingested, contact a physician or poison control center immediately.

Product Questions

After the 72 hour period, what percentage of a water changes is recommended and how many until I can reintroduce my Chaeto back into my refugium?
Question by: Alex on Jan 31, 2023, 3:51 AM
Thanks for the question! You are going to want to let the treatment go the full 10-14 days before doing a water change. If you needed to I would do one no more than 15-20%

Should I turn off my phosphate reactor while treating? If so, for how long?
Question by: Nova on Jan 18, 2023, 4:47 PM
Hey Nova, thanks for the question! You can leave your GFO running as it will not soak up the treatment like a skimmer or carbon will.

I use Zeovit system and have Zeolite stones in a reactor. Do I need to remove the zeolite also when dosing Flux Rx? Thanks

Thanks for the question! We recommend removing the Zeolite media for the duration of the Flux RX treatment along with any carbon or phosphate removing media.

How many days do you use it for ? Just once or for 3 days 72 hours 1 scoop every day?
Question by: Sam tawil on Dec 5, 2021, 11:13 AM
Thank you for your question. You only need to dose a large scoop per 25 gallons once. Turn off your skimmer and remove carbon and phosphate remover for 72 hours. The single dose is all that is needed per treatment cycle.
