It works!! By Neal on 11/11/2019
Neal would recommend this product to a friendI was fighting an amphidinium dinoflagellates out break for several months in my 75g reef. I lost several acros and my tank became toxic to all sps. I tried all the natural methods to out compete the dinos and nothing was working. As a last ditch effort to rid the system of dinos before a total reset I tried DinoX. Following the directions to the word after 4 doses of DinoX the tank was clean and clear with no visable sings of dino anywhere! If you have tried everything else give DinoX a try. -

Worked like a charm By Kyle on 4/2/2019
Kyle would recommend this product to a friendWorked like a charm, i’ve had Dino for about eight months and no matter what I did I couldn’t get rid of it. I did however find out that nopox Being used for too long a period because I had hair algae had apparently caused vodka poisoning of some sort making an inbalance in my tank. I removed all dosing for nopox for about two weeks before I started to see some of the Dino dissipating. (About 10%) I found Dino X, decided to give it a try and by the fourth does my tank looks brand new again with no Dino whatsoever. I know that getting my systems initial imbalance is what helped and hopefully will keep away the Dino, but the Dino x definitely sped up the process and eradicated 90% within four doses. If I had not used the Dino x, My guess is that the Dino still would have gone away after I solved the initial problem, but probably would’ve taken another month and a half to two months. This is why I know that Dino as my guess is that the Dino still would have gone away after I solved the initial problem, but probably would’ve taken another month and a half to two months. This is why I know that Dino X works. Hope this helps anyone on the fence about buying it -

Works but be prepared for other algaes By 848phantom on 1/5/2019
848phantom would recommend this product to a friendSo I had dinoflagellate for a few months, tried blackouts and that but always came back. So then tried Dino X, by treatment 6 they were all gone.but note....and this is where some here have it wrong...with the Dino gone the nutrients will rise as nothing is eating it. So you will get cyano or GHA...this is not caused by this product but what's in your system. So get the carbon and phosphate remover in after the treatment is all done. -

Worked Well For Me By Jeffro on 11/28/2018
Jeffro would recommend this product to a friendI dosed my 120 gallon display tank 3 times and it wiped out all of my dino that I had been battling for months. It does not touch hair algae, so that will be my next fight. But so far so good.

It is working!!!! By Rebecca on 9/13/2018
Rebecca would recommend this product to a friendWe have struggled with a breakout of dinoflagellates for months, and I feel very lucky that we had the species that DinoX kills. I saw positive affects within a day of our first dose. We have a 90 gallon mix fish and coral. The dinoflagellates killed off all of our hard coral before we tried the DinoX. I wish we would have done it months ago when we first notice a problem. Good luck- I hope you have the dino that DinoX kills because it is the easiest solution to a tank killing issue. -
Absolute Waste of Money By Falconreef on 7/30/2018
Falconreef wouldn't recommend this product to a friendI've been in the reef keeping hobby for over 30 years and presently have 6 reef tanks and 2 frag tanks. One of the frag tanks suddenly had an outbreak of dinoflagellates probably acquired from some donated frags and were not killed even after dipping the frags. I thought I would give this so called miracle cure a try. Well that was my first mistake, not only did it not kill any dinoflagellates but at first made them worse. After 10 treatments following the instructions exactly, I found that It caused hair algae to grow in a tank that never had hair algae. The GHA virtually covered everything by treatment 6 and I finally gave up after 10. Product didn't kill any corals directly but covered them with GHA which resulted in a complete tear down of the tank. Being that no indication of what Dino X is made from and no way to test for parameters during use, I recommend you stay away from this product. Worse product and waste of money I have ever used since I started in the hobby. -
Works great By Dustin on 6/30/2018
Dustin would recommend this product to a friendFirst things first, make sure you have dino in your tank. Dino and cyano look similar but this only works on dino. It worked really well for me. I used 6 doses, it cleared after 4 but I did 2 more just for good measure since I've been battling this for months. My corals are looking great, fish were unaffected and my shrimp is still stealing food from everyone so it works and is harmless -

Is it necessary to take into consideration rock and sand displacement for total water volume when measuring how much to dose?
Question posted on Oct 9, 2017 6:04:00 PM
Hey there,
Thanks for getting in touch with us in regards to dosing. I would recommend that you take displacement into consideration when dosing any additive. Please let me know if there is anything else that we can assist with. Thanks!

Hi Craig,
No need for panic, the Dino X is very neutral in odor, and even though there isn't a "chemical smell" to it, there is active ingredient :)

Will this product work for green bubble algae? what are your recommendations for bubble algae whether it be this, something else, or a combination?
Question posted on Feb 23, 2016 5:41:00 PM
Great question!
This will have an impact on Bubble algae however for best control manual removal while siphoning the water will help to remove the spores and keep the algae from spreading. In smaller cases often times Emerald Crabs will do a great job at controlling the levels. Feel free to let us know if you have any further questions!

Can Dino X be dosed in conjunction with Chemiclean? Cyano is quickly taking hold where the dinos have died and gone.

No reason they cannot be run together. We typically recommend waiting a few days between treatments so as t not shock the system. Feel free to let us know if you have any further questions.

Can I continue to run protein skimmer and GAC while dosing this?
Question posted on Jan 10, 2017 11:39:00 AM
Great question! During the medication process, you will want to discontinue the use of both the carbon and skimmer. This will ensure the max contact and concentration. :-)

Great question, For this product you will dose 5 mL per 26 gallons. On average tank of 75 Gallons you will need 15 mL every 2 days. This product will do a great job at reducing the growth of the hair algae however the dead and extra algae present will need to be manually removed.
