- FLO Rotating Water Deflector - Hydor
The Hydor FLO Rotating Deflector Wavemaker is applied using proper adaptors to the output of any pump or filter. Moves the aquarium water increasing oxygenation and surface gas exchange which prevents the formation of the “white line” effects.

Flo Water Deflector 80-310 GPH Rotating water deflector applicable, with proper adaptors, to the outlet of any pump or filter.

Great By Ryan on 10/24/2017Ryan would recommend this product to a friendThis product is absolutely amazing !!! I have been in the fish keeping hobby or almost 40 years. This is 2 of the best inventions that I have seen. I have had one for six months never have had a single problem eliminates tons of dead spots. I am not sure why these are not an absolute with the reef tank.
Jams too easily By Chris on 5/20/2017Chris wouldn't recommend this product to a friendThe gears are exposed inside the unit, directly in the path of the water flow. Therefore any random piece of debris which slips through the strainer (no matter how small) will get caught where the gears mesh and jam. I tried to use it in my fuge to add some random movement and any tiny piece of floating cheato will jam it. I've had to disassemble it 3 times in the last week, so I'm giving up. It needs a piece of plastic or something on the inside to deflect the water around the various gears. Either that or a complete redesign so that the reducing gears are outside the water flow area completely.
Nice, if kept clean By Gary on 5/28/2016Gary would recommend this product to a friendIf they are not disassembled regularly they will stop rotating. So get an extra one and rotate them.
best tank accessory ever By robin on 9/13/2015robin would recommend this product to a friendthis might possibly be the best money I have ever spent on my reef tank. awesome, inexpensive way to get the same result that would otherwise require extra powerheads and wave makers. why add all that to the tank when I could use these? wish it had a better option with attachments, I found that the second largest adapter sleeve fits inside a piece of 1/2" pvc, otherwise I would not have been able to use it. In the end, I bought a total of 5 of these.
Random water movement on a budget By b-christopher on 10/5/2014b-christopher would recommend this product to a friendVery impressively designed, the deflector works very well. I've had a pair running for a little over a year with no issues at all. Eliminated a few dead spots with ease. I even use one when I'm mixing salt.
- Great option for small to midsize tanks, no added power consumption is a nice plus.
Good price, works nice By Scott on 7/15/2013Scott would recommend this product to a friendI have had 3 of these and all have done exactly what they claim to do, rotate and direct flow into a ciricular pattern. It helps get rid of dead spots where detrius can build up. Each lasted from 1-2 years with no problems. Eventually the retaining clip in the center grew weak on each one and the internal gears lost contact. At first a slight push back on kept it going for a few more weeks but eventually it didn't work. But for about 10 bucks you cant beat it.
Why not get it. By Dalton on 4/16/2013Dalton would recommend this product to a friendAsolutlry amazing when i hooked it up to my new cobalt mj1200. Eliminated the majority of my dead spots with my 55 gallon corner tank. Their are so many good uses you can put is toward.
Nice water deflector By BioCuber on 2/20/2013BioCuber would recommend this product to a friendI love this deflector, i have put them on all my systems. It works great, fits perfect and best of all, it was a cheap solution to water movement. I now have it combined with an mp10es and the tank looks great.
FLO Rotating Water Deflector By Ryan on 2/4/2013Ryan would recommend this product to a friendThis product is great for some random water movement. I have one on my return line, one on a MaxiJet 1200, and plan on adding another MaxiJet 1200 with one soon. Great alternative to noisy wave makers, although probably not as efficient. I have heard of these getting jammed and not rotating correctly but I have not experienced this at all, and if i did its a lot cheaper to replace than a powerhead that has burned out from the constant on and off of a wave maker.
Not for small/shalow tanks By Kirk on 1/30/2013Kirk wouldn't recommend this product to a friendThe water output is a very small focal point and it blast what ever is in the path even trying to reflect it off the glass

Unfortunately we are not familiar with the tubing or return line size of the Bio Cube. The Flo will come with adapters to fit onto 1/2" tubing and 5/8" which certainly should fit most common tank returns. Feel free to let us know if you have any further questions!
These will not be able to fit on the Red Sea Reefer Max tanks.
The deflector rotates around in a constant 360 degrees as the water flows through it.
