- Dimmable T5 HO Miro-4 Retrofit Kit - LET Lighting
Add to your canopy with the Dimmable Miro-4 T5 High Output Retrofit Kit from LET Lighting. Having the ability to dim your T5 lamps will give you the same dimming control of LED lighting, while having a tried and true lighting source. Retrofit kits give you the flexibility to add T5 lamps virtually to any tank, while keeping a low overall cost. T5 lighting can either be the main light source or supplemental light to another light source like LED or metal halide. The overall spread and coverage of T5 HO lighting makes it really hard to beat.
- Quiet, cool operation
- Dimmable electronic ballast
- 0-10v dimmable control (controller required)
- Add to existing lighting, or as main light source
- Compatible with most aquarium controllers
- Flexible to many different applications
- Easy to follow instructions
We really like the control and flexibility that T5 retrofit kits give. If you do not want to invest into a fixture, or you have a canopy that will not allow a properly sized fixture inside of it, retrofit kits are the way to go. They can be installed almost anywhere, and the color coded wiring harness makes wiring a breeze. LET includes high quality individual parabolic reflectors made from 96% German reflective aluminum allowing light to be evenly spread across your tank, virtually eliminating hot spots and shadows.
The Dimmable LET Retrofit kits can be controlled by any 0-10v controller. A 0-10v control port is very common to find as an option on most common aquarium controllers. It is highly recommended for best performance, and bulb life, that all new bulbs be burned in at 100% for 50 hours before being dimmed.

Great for DIY units By Josh on 4/17/2018Josh would recommend this product to a friendThey do what they're supposed to do. Relatively easy to setup.
Excellent, Easy Kit By Maximillian on 11/7/2017Maximillian would recommend this product to a friendAfter reading the instructions, I drilled the canopy, then cut and mocked out the wiring (without actually connecting anything). Then I simply assembled and zip-tied the wiring flush against the canopy. It took about 30 minutes to do and there was no ambiguity (for instance, all wires and connections were colored and labeled correctly, and all required pieces were included in the kit). The lighting is an excellent diffused supplement to my Kissel 360s.
Nice Kit but a bit difficult to intall By Huck on 3/7/2017Huck would recommend this product to a friendThe individual components are well built but difficult to install. The kit comes with instructions that are very difficult to understand, and there is little to no assistance available online. The document that comes with the lights indicate that there are videos online, but when you go to the website, no videos are present. There were no instructions on how to connect the wires to the endcaps. Fortunately, I figured that the wire simply had to be inserted and it locked in place. but then i had a difficult time removing the wire once it was inserted. I finally got it all figured out and the lights look great. They provide the perfect amount of supplemental light to my Radion LED's. I would have given the product 5 stars but the installation instructions are horrible.
Nice kit By Stephen on 2/21/2017Stephen would recommend this product to a friendI've purchased 3 of these kits over the last year. First time installing it I was intimidated but once I figured it out they provide a nice custom solution. The dimming works great with my RKE as well.
WORKS; BUT NEEDS WORK By David on 11/21/2016David would recommend this product to a friendI purchased the dimmable 36" version. It,eventually will be placed in a canopy to supplement my LED lighting.
The item works but the instructions were very confusing and didn't have to be, because most of it is quite intuitive.
PROS: The wiring is color coded so it's easy for anyone to make the proper connections.
CONS: Confusion about the "Gray" cable. Since there are two of them.
One of them -the one that is part of the basic wiring is printed "Brown" on the ballast. Ignore that. It should be the gray wire.
Then there are gray & violet wires for the dimming portion of the ballast. These do not come with the kit. I haven't gotten a controller, yet, but I assume they come with the controller.
Then there is a "3 port connector" which connects the gray wire with the standalone yellow wire, which should be cut in half.
My 3 port connector was missing. It is tiny. It may never have been placed in the box or it may have fallen out of the box when BRS opened it to add another product I ordered.
LET sent a replacement and when I connected it up; No Problems.
As a reminder; If you buy the dimmable version you need to run your lights for 50 hours,to burn in before you dim the lights.

What cable would I need to connect this fixture to Apex.
To connect the dimmable ballast to an Apex 0-10v interface you would need to purchase the 2 Channel Apex to Light dimming cable which I put a link to below. That will allow you to run the reference wire, and control the lights from your Apex.
What is the exact length of fixture? My canopy is 48 inches wide, need to know if it will fit.
The LET Retrofit kits are just short of their designated length. The 48” model with the end caps and standoffs is right around 47.5” in total length with the bulb installed.
Thanks for the question and have a great day!
Would this work with the Reefkeeper ALC? And which cables do I need? Thanks
Will the Reef Keeper Lite Basic control this? Can you have indecent control of each bulb? What else would I need to use the reef keeper with this retro fit? Thanks!
How wide is the kit once installed? I have 18" of width in my hood and I want to know how many bulbs I can install in that space.
Thanks for getting in touch with us in regards to this retrofit. I went and checked and each reflector is 2" wide. They do link together somewhat so you should be able to fit eight bulbs with some room to wiggle. Please let me know if there is anything else that we can assist with. Thanks!
