Add to your canopy with the Dimmable Miro-4 T5 High Output Retrofit Kit from LET Lighting. Having the ability to dim your T5 lamps will give you the same dimming control of LED lighting, while having a tried and true lighting source. Retrofit kits give you the flexibility to add T5 lamps virtually to any tank, while keeping a low overall cost. T5 lighting can either be the main light source or supplemental light to another light source like LED or metal halide. The overall spread and coverage of T5 HO lighting makes it really hard to beat.

  • Quiet, cool operation
  • Dimmable electronic ballast
  • 0-10v dimmable control (controller required)
  • Add to existing lighting, or as main light source
  • Compatible with most aquarium controllers
  • Flexible to many different applications
  • Easy to follow instructions

We really like the control and flexibility that T5 retrofit kits give. If you do not want to invest into a fixture, or you have a canopy that will not allow a properly sized fixture inside of it, retrofit kits are the way to go. They can be installed almost anywhere, and the color coded wiring harness makes wiring a breeze. LET includes high quality individual parabolic reflectors made from 96% German reflective aluminum allowing light to be evenly spread across your tank, virtually eliminating hot spots and shadows.

Dimmable

The Dimmable LET Retrofit kits can be controlled by any 0-10v controller. A 0-10v control port is very common to find as an option on most common aquarium controllers. It is highly recommended for best performance, and bulb life, that all new bulbs be burned in at 100% for 50 hours before being dimmed.

Product Questions

I am interested in using the dimmable features to supplement my led lighting. However, I do not have an aquarouk controller with 0 to 10 v connections. Is there a way to connect this electronics and bypassing the need for an aquaroum controller altogether?
Question by: Andy on Jul 26, 2023, 11:31 AM
You will need a 0-10V controller in order to use the diming feature.

Can these be split up or is it a joined 2 bulb piece? Also is it 1 power for both lights or 2 separate power plugs? Lastly if they can be split whats the max distance the cable will allow them to be split up?
Question by: Dave Benayoun on Jan 26, 2023, 12:41 PM
Thanks for the question! These can be separated but they will run off the same ballast with one outlet plug. To my knowledge cable is 6-9ft.

Can this kit be installed with only one bulb and reflector? Will this hurt the ballast?
Question by: Jarrod Hall on Mar 3, 2020, 1:05 PM
Hey there,

Unfortunately the fixture will not operate with only one bulb. The ballast requires both bulbs to be used.

Take care
Answer by: Thomas Billington on Mar 5, 2020, 1:46 PM
How wide is the kit once installed? I have 18" of width in my hood and I want to know how many bulbs I can install in that space.
Question by: Kraig on Oct 7, 2017, 9:13 PM
Hey there,
Thanks for getting in touch with us in regards to this retrofit. I went and checked and each reflector is 2" wide. They do link together somewhat so you should be able to fit eight bulbs with some room to wiggle. Please let me know if there is anything else that we can assist with. Thanks!

Will the Reef Keeper Lite Basic control this? Can you have indecent control of each bulb? What else would I need to use the reef keeper with this retro fit? Thanks!
Question by: Cheryl Carter on May 29, 2017, 1:43 AM
The RKL will require the ALC module in order to provide a 0-10v reference port for dimming control. Once connected to this module, the dimmable ballast can be controlled through the Reefkeeper. Each ballast will control the dimming for 2 bulbs and can not provide independent control.

Regards

Would this work with the Reefkeeper ALC? And which cables do I need? Thanks
Question by: David McIntosh on Dec 27, 2016, 11:02 PM
Great question! This module will be able to control that T5 fixture. The cables are included, but would need some DIY modification to integrate the cables included on the fixture.
Answer by: Admin on Jan 2, 2017, 7:48 AM
What is the exact length of fixture? My canopy is 48 inches wide, need to know if it will fit.
Question by: Mars on Jul 27, 2016, 8:50 PM
Hi there,
The LET Retrofit kits are just short of their designated length. The 48” model with the end caps and standoffs is right around 47.5” in total length with the bulb installed.
Thanks for the question and have a great day!

What cable would I need to connect this fixture to Apex.
Question by: luke behrens on Jul 25, 2016, 4:52 PM
Hi there,
To connect the dimmable ballast to an Apex 0-10v interface you would need to purchase the 2 Channel Apex to Light dimming cable which I put a link to below. That will allow you to run the reference wire, and control the lights from your Apex.
