Vertex Mesh Filter Socks are made of high-quality Nylon, and can be washed and reused numerous times. We suggest having a few on hand to change out every couple days for the best results.

100 Micron - Great for fine polishing after initial tank set-ups and maintenance. They will clog faster and may need to be frequently changed though.

200 Micron - The most common micron rating used in the industry. They provide a nice balance of polishing capabilities while lasting a few days before clogging.

300 Micron - These are by far the longest lasting filter socks and do not need to be replaced nearly as often as felt filter socks. These are great for holding filter media, extended vacations, high bio-load systems that may be fed a lot, or as a backup sock in a series.
